Pengaruh pemberian bio-aktivator stardec terhadap waktu pengomposan sampah organik

Lahan-lahan kritis di Indonesia pada tahun 1989 mencapai 13.270.000 ha dan dilaporkan bahwa kandungan bahan organik lahan di pulau jawa pada umumnya kurang dari 2%. Sementara sekitar 95% lahan pertanian di Indonesia mengandung bahan organik kurang dari 1%. Batas minimum bahan organik pertanian adalah 5%. Teknologi pengomposan merupakan salah satu solusi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Percobaan Rangcangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan satu kali ulangan yaitu (S0) sebagai kontrol, (S1) penambahan stardec 120 gram, (S2) penambahan stardec 180 gram , (S2) Penambahan stardec 240 gram, (S3) penambahan stardec 300 gram dengan berat sampah 300 kg/perlakuan. Sampah dipilah dari bahan anorganik, kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam drum, sambil dipercikkan air yang sudah diberi Bio-Aktivator stardec dengan masingmasing variasi perlakuan (S0), (S1), (S2), (S3) dan (S4) setelah itu di tutup dengan plastik mulsa untuk menjaga temperatur, diadakan pembalikan setiap 4 hari sekali dan dipantau temperatur, kelembaban dan derajat keasaman (pH), pengomposan dilakukan secara aerobik. Hasil percobaan dengan penambahan Bio-Aktivator stardec 300 gram berpengaruh terhadap waktu pengomposan, yaitu dapat mempercepat proses pengomposan dan dapat memperbaiki kualitas kompos, berdasarkan hasil uji laboratorium BPTP kadar N, P, K dan C/N Rasio masuk pada SNI 19-7030-2004.

Critical areas in Indonesia in 1989 covered 13.270.000 ha and was reported that organic substance content of area in Java island is below 2 % in average. Meanwhile, about 95 % of farm lands in Indonesia contain less than 1 % of organic substance, where as organic substance for farming is minimum 5 %. Composting technology is one of the solutions. Research method applied is completely-randomed design method (RAL) with 5 treatment and one repetition, namely; (So) as a control, (S1) adding stardec of 120 grams, (S2) 180 grams stardec adding, (S3) 240 grams stardec adding, (S4) 300 grams stardec adding with 300 kilograms waste (rubbish)/ treatment. Waste is sorted from non organic substance, then it is put into the barrel and sprinkled with stardec Bio-Activator soluted water, by different treatment for (S0), (S1), (S2), (S3), (S4) respectively. After that, it is covered with plastic. To keep the temperature, waste is turned over once in 4 days, as well as its temperature, moisture, and acidity level is controlled. Composting is done aerobically. The experiment’s result of composting time by adding 300 grams of stardec Bio-Activator shows that there is the acceleration of composting and that it can improve compost quality based on the result of laboratory test in BPTP with the NPK and C/N Ratio registered in SNI-19.7030-2004
