Kecemasan menghadapi ujian akhir sekolah, motivasi belajar dan prestasi belajar siswa dalam ujian akhir sekolah 2006/2007 :: di SMP Negeri 8 Yogyakarta

2007 | Tesis | S2 Psikologi (Psikologi Pendidikan)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecemasan menghadapi ujian akhir sekolah dan motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar ujian akhir sekolah, hubungan antara kecemasan dengan prestasi ujian akhir sekolah, hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar ujian akhir sekolah tahun pelajaran 2006-2007 pada SMP Negeri 8 Yogyakarta. Ini adalah penelitian diskripsi kualitatif yang pencuplikan sampel diambil secara acak (randomized) setengah dari seluruh populasi siswa kelas IX berjumlah 209 siswa, 88 laki-laki dan 121 siswa perempuan. Data diperoleh dengan metode skala dan dokumentasi, pengolahan data dibantu program statistik 2005 BL (dua bahasa) versi Sutrisno Hadi. Hipotesis pertama dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi ganda metode stepwise. Hipotesis kedua dan ketiga diuji dengan menggunakan rumus korelasi parsial. Penemuan dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa pertama prestasi belajar dalam UAS dipengaruhi oleh variabel dari motivasi dan kecemasan, seperti ditunjukan pada hasil dari analisis regresi ganda metode stepwise. Data diperoleh dengan hasil persamaan garis regresi Y = 7.357 + 0.168 X1 -0.111 X2, temuan ini sesuai dengan hipotesis. F = 4.626; p = 0.005. Sumbangan relatif X1 = 46.893 sedangkan sumbangan efektif X1 = 2,022. Sumbangan relatif X2 = 53.107 sedangkan sumbangan efektif X2 = 2.290 sehingga total sumbangan efektif 4.312, artinya sebesar 4.312% prestasi belajar dipengaruhi oleh variabel motivasi dan kecemasan. Hipotesis kedua diuji dengan menggunakan rumus korelasi parsial. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar dengan diperolehnya harga rx1y sebesar 0,143, nilai signifikansi r (p-value) = 0.036 pada taraf signifikansi 5% (0.036 < 0.050) artinya terdapat hubungan searah dan sesuai dengan teori. Hipotesis ketiga diuji dengan menggunakan rumus korelasi parsial diperoleh harga rx2y sebesar -0,149. Nilai signifikansi r (p-value) = 0.030 pada taraf signifikansi 5% (0.030 < 0.050) artinya terdapat korelasi negatif signifikan bahwa semakin tinggi kecemasan maka semakin menurun prestasi belajar.
This study was aimed to find out the correlation between the anxiety in facing school final exam and the learning motivation, on the one side, and the achievement in school final exam, on the other side; the correlation between the anxiety in facing school final exam and the achievement in the school final exam, and; the correlation between the learning motivation and the achievement in the school final exam. It was a qualitative-descriptive study whose data were taken from a randomized sample of a half of the total population of 209 students from grade IX, consisting of 88 males and 121 females. The data were obtained by using the scale and documentation methods and then they were processed by using the Sutrisno Hadi’s version of BL statistic program of 2005 (bilingual). The first hypothesis was analyzed with the stepwise multiple regression analysis. The second and the third hypotheses were tested by applying the partial correlation formula. The findings of this study showed that, first, the learning achievement in the final exam was influenced by variables of motivation and anxiety, as indicated by the results of multiple regression analysis of the stepwise method. It was obtained a regression line equation of Y = 7.357 + 0.168 X1 - 0.111 X2, with the value of F = 4,626; p = 0.005. The relative contribution of X1 = 46.893 and the effective contribution of X2 = 2.022. The relative contribution of X2 = 53.107 and the effective contribution of X2 = 2.290. The total effective contribution of the two variables combined was 4.312, implying that 4.312% of the learning achievement was influenced by variables of motivation and anxiety. Second, there was a negative correlation between the anxiety in facing school final exam and the achievement in the school final exam. It was evidenced by the results of the partial correlation formula showing that rx2y = -0.149 and the significance value of r (p-value) = 0.030 at the level of significance 5% (0.030 < 0.050). Third, there was a correlation between the learning motivation and the achievement in the school final exam. It was evidenced by the results of partial correlation formula indicating that the value of rx1y = 0.143, significance value of r (p-value) = 0.036 at the level of significance 5% (0.036 < 0.050).
