Kajian pakan dan analisis Proksimat Rusa (Cervus sp.) di Wana Wisata Mantingan Rembang Jawa Tengah

2007 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu KehutananBertujuan untuk mengetahui sumber, jenis, kebutuhan, palatabilitas pakan dan analisis proksimat yang terkandung dalam pakan serta rekomendasi untuk pengelolaan konservasi ex-situ di wana wisata Mantingan. Metode perilaku harian yang digunakan Focal Animal Sampling, pencatatan terhadap semua kegiatan meliputi perilaku makan, bergerak, istirahat dan lain-lain. Palatabilitas menggunakan metode Palatabilitas relative. Kebutuhan, sumber dan jenis pakan menggunakan metode langsung dan wawancara. Analisis proksimat untuk mengetahui kadar air, abu, protein, serat kasar, lemak kasar dan Bahan Ekstrak Tanpa Nitrogen (BETN) dengan menggunakan metode AOAC. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan sumber pakan didapatkan dari sekitar lokasi. Ada 8 (delapan) jenis pakan yaitu rayapan, daun boros, daun mahoni, daun tempuyung, ubi, tebon, daun ketela pohon, dan daun kacang tanah serta konsentrat berupa bekatul. Populasi rusa membutuhkan pakan sebanyak 11.5 Kg dengan asumsi jumlah kebutuhan pakan 10% dari berat tubuh. Palatabilitas pada rusa jawa anak-anak, betina dan jantan juga pada rusa totol anak-anak dan jantan sama yaitu daun kacang tanah sedangkan rusa totol betina tebon. Perilaku harian rusa jawa anak-anak, betina, jantan dan rusa totol anak-anak, betina, jantan sangat dominan terhadap perilaku istirahat. Hasil analisis proksimat menunjukkan kadar air tertinggi tempuyung 89.76% dan terendah bekatul 9.16%. Abu tertinggi bekatul 16.33% dan terendah ubi 1.13%. Serat kasar tertinggi bekatul 27.87% dan terendah ubi 0.887%. Protein tertinggi bekatul 7.34% dan terendah boros 1.53%. Lemak kasar tertinggi bekatul 5.64% dan terndah tempuyung 0.184%. Bahan Ekstrak Tanpa Nitrogen (BETN) tertinggi bekatul 33.66% dan terendah tebon 2.928%. Modal utama keberhasilan adalah pemahaman perilaku, pakan, palatabilitas dan kandungan gizi untuk menunjang konservasi ex-situ.
Aim of research is to identify source, type, need, palatabilitas level and proximate analysis of content in fodder and also give recommendation for the management in conservation ex-situ wana wisata Mantingan. Focal Animal Sampling Method was used to identify daily behavior by recording all activities including eating behavior, moving, rest and others. Relative palatabilitas method was used to identy fodder palatabilitas. Fodder Requirement was determined using direct method wether, source and type were determined by direct observation and interview. Proximate Analysis using AOAC method was conducted to identify water content, ash level, protein rough fiber, rough fat and non nitrogen extract matter. The result indicates that feeder source was obtained from neighbour area. There were eight fodder types, namely : rayapan, boros, mahoni, tempuyung, ubi, tebon, ketela pohon, and kacang tanah also consentrat in the form of rice brand. Deer need 11.5 Kg fodder with an assumption that fodder requirement is 10% of body weight. Palatabilitas to young, female and male of java deer also young and male of spotted deer it’s all the same that is kacang tanah whereas female of spotted deer tebon. Daily behavior of young, female and male of java deer and spotted deer is dominant in rest behavior. The result of proximate analysis indicate that the highest water content was found in tempuyung 89.76% and the lowest is in rice brand 9.16%. The highest ash level was found in rice brand 16.33% and the lowest is in ubi 1.13%. The highest fiber content was found is in rice brand 27.87% and the lowest is in ubi 0.887%. The highest protein level is in rice brand 7.34% and the lowest is in boros 1.53%. The highest raw fat level was found is in rice brand 5.64% and the lowest is in tempuyung 0.184%. The highest non nitrogen extract water was found is in rice brand 33.66% and the lowest is in tebon 2.928%. The main asset of success in understanding of behavior, diet, palatabilitas and nutrient content to support the ex-situ conservation.
