Penelitian tentang “Perlindungan Hak Cipta Atas Hasil-hasil Penelitian di Badan Litbang Departemen Kehutanan” dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaturan tentang perlindungan hak cipta atas hasil-hasil penelitian di Badan Litbang Kehutanan, upaya dan kendalanya yang dihadapi oleh Badan Litbang Kehutanan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum normatif bersifat deskriptif analitis. Dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat diperoleh hasil yang menggambarkan secara jelas bagaimana pengaturan tentang perlindungan hak cipta atas hasil-hasil penelitian di Badan Litbang Kehutanan. Data dalam penelitian ini meliputi data sekunder yang diperoleh dari studi kepustakaan dan data primer yang diperoleh melalui wawancara secara langsung dengan narasumber dan responden. Data yang diperoleh dianalisa secara kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Badan Litbang Jakarta dan Puslitbanghut P3HKA Bogor. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa hasil-hasil penelitian yang berupa naskah publikasi dalam bentuk jurnal dan artikel lainnya di Badan Litbang Kehutanan dilindungi oleh UUHC Tahun 2002. Badan Litbang Kehutanan telah melakukan upaya perlindungan atas hasil-hasil penelitian para penelitinya namun karena mengalami kendala organisatoris dalam pelaksanaannya sehingga hasilnya belum baik dan optimal.

The research on “the Copyrights Protection on Results of Research in the Forestry Research and Development Agency” aims to know how the arrangement, effort and the constraint of copyrights protection on the result of forestry research by the Forestry Research and Development Agency. This research type is juridical normative research with nature descriptive analytical method. The research expectation is to obtain clearly description on how the copyrights protection on results of research in the Forestry Research and Development Agency is given by the law. Primary and secondary data collection is analyzed qualitatively. The primary data were collected from direct interview with resource persons and respondents. The secondary data were collected from literature by literary study. This research location was conducted in the Forestry Research and Development Agency in Jakarta and the Centre of Research and Development of Forest and Nature Conservation in Bogor. This research result shows that results of forestry research in forms of journal and articles has been protected by the Act No. 19/2002 on Copyrights. The Forestry Research and Development Agency tries to effort the protection of the results of forestry research according the regulations, however it faces several internal organization constraints on implementation so that why the effort have not work properly and optimally.
