Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan analisis dan desain sistem Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) pada perusahaan dengan skala kecil dan menengah (UKM) atau Small Medium Enterprise (SME) dengan cara studi literatur, agar dapat diketahui faktor-faktor utama apa saja yang mempengaruhi dalam proses integrasi sistem informasi antara sistem ERP dan sistem yang telah ada dalam perusahaan, sehingga mampu memperbesar peluang keberhasilan dalam proses implementasi sistem ERP pada SME menuju ke arah efektifitas dan efisiensi dalam kegiatan opersional perusahaan. Metode yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan perencanaan integrasi sistem tersebut mulai dari pre-implementasi, proses implementasi sampai pada tahap setelah implementasi. Hal ini dapat dilakukan melalui proses analisis kebutuhan perusahaan. Sistem ERP tidak dapat berjalan dengan sempurna tanpa dukungan dari teknologi informasi yang memadai. Selain dari sisi Hardware penerapan sistem ERP dapat didukung pula oleh Software yang memadai untuk mendukung teknologi tersebut. Salah satu software ERP yang dapat diperoleh secara Open Source adalah Compiere. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bukan hanya teknologi dan metode yang menentukan keberhasilan penerapan sistem ERP. Dalam penelitian ini ada tiga faktor utama yang menentukan keberhasilan penerapan ERP, yaitu proses preimplementasi, implementasi dan setelah implementasi. Tiga faktor tersebut adalah pihak manajemen perusahaan, vendor, dan people. Selain hal itu terdapat audit dari sistem informasi yang terbagi atas tiga tahap yang menjadi kunci sukses penerapan sistem informasi dan ERP pada SME yaitu pre-implementation review, post implementation review, dan integreted review.

The objective of the research is to analysis and design of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System to a company with scale are small to medium or Small Medium Enterprise (SME) by literature study so that the main factors for integration process of ERP and the company information system will be showed. It will make the opportunity for the successfull to implementing ERP system to heading for efficient and effective on the business operational company. The method that use for the planning of information system integration was start from pre-implementation, the implementation and after implementation process. It can be done with the process analysis from company needs. The ERP system also needs support from the sufficient information technology. Beside hardware implementing ERP can be support of software. One of it that supported the ERP is the Compiere software. The research finding show is not just the technology and method that influenced the ERP successful implementation. There are three main factors is to understand at the pre-implementation, the implementation, and after implementation process. It is Call management, vendor, and people who involved in that process. Beside that factor, there are audit for information system to be success to implementation ERP and information system for SME, there is pre-implementation review, post implementation review, and integreted review
