Perancangan E-learning Gateway :: Studi kasus di I-ELISA UGM

2007 | Tesis | S2 Teknik Elektro (Magister Teknologi Informasi)Interkoneksi antar e-Learning menemui beberapa kendala utama yaitu: letak yang tersebar dan beragamnya penggunaan LMS E-Learning gateway berfungsi menginterkoneksi antar e-Learning dan bersifat open access dengan multi-platform LMS. Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat analisa sistem pengembangan e-Learning gateway di i-elisa UGM. Pengembangan e-Learning gateway tersebut akan menginterkoneksikan e-Learning pada jaringan INHERENT sehingga bisa bertukar materi pembelajaran antar e-Learning perguruan tinggi. Perancangan e-Learning gateway i-elisa dimulai dari analisis kondisi eksisting yang ada pada sistem e-Learning i-elisa. Perancangan sistem digambarkan dengan UML untuk menggambarkan detail sistem pada platform Object-Oriented. Arsitektur e-Learning gateway dirancang mendukung interkoneksi e-Learning multi-platform LMS. Pertukaran data antar e-Learning menggunakan web service teknologi XML, terdiri atas bagian server dan client. Media komunikasi antara SCO dengan LMS menggunakan API dan RTE yang berstandar SCORM. Perancangan e-Learning gateway i-elisa mengadopsi teknologi three-tier dengan teknologi J2EE sebagai bahasa pemprogramannya. Prioritas utama pengembangan e-Learning gateway i-elisa pada kecepatan akses dan kelengkapan data. E-Learning gateway i-eLisa bersifat web portal dan fungsi utama adalah sebagai mesin pencari materi pembelajaran antar e-Learning. Hak akses pengguna secara umum dibedakan menjadi tiga, yaitu: admin, anggota, dan umum. Arsitektur e-Learning gateway terdiri atas tiga lapisan, yaitu: lapisan aplikasi e-Learning masing-masing perguruan tinggi, lapisan portal, dan lapisan aplikasi e-Learning gateway.
Interconnection among e-learning have some main problems, they are spread of domicile and difference of LMS. E-Learning gateway has function to interconnect among e-Learning and it is an open access e-Learning interconnection based on multi-platform LMS. The aim of this research is to analize e-Learning gateway is to interconnection e-Learning which interconnection using INHERENT network, it may possible to exchange teaching materials among e-Learning university. E-Learning i-eLisa planing is started from existing condition analysis on e-Learning i-eLisa system. System planing is described through UML to describe detail system on Object-Oriented platform. E-Learning architecture is planed to support e-Learning multi-platform LMS interconnection. The data exchange among e-Learning uses XML web service technology, consist of server and client. Media communication among SCO and LMS uses API and RTE also based on SCORM standart. E-Learning gateway i-eLisa planing adopts three-tier technology, J2EE as language programming. Main priority on developing e-Learning gateway i-eLisa such as speed of access and data comprehensive data. E-Learning gateway i-Elisa is web portal and the main function is as search engine teaching material among e-Learning. The user access classified in three, such as admin, member, and public user. E-Learning gateway architecture consist of three layer, there are university e-Learning application layer, portal layer, and e-Learning gateway application layer.
