Strategic Alignment antara strategi bisnis dan strategi sistem informasi

Penelitian ini menguji dampak alignment pada perceived business performance dengan menggunakan klasifikasi Miles and Snow’s yaitu strategi bisnis defender, Analyzer, dan Prospector. Profil dari strategi bisnis dikembangkan oleh Venkrataman (1989). Profil bagi IS strategies dikembangkan dengan menggunakan empat tipe sistem yaitu operational support system, market information system, strategic decision support system dan interorganizational systems. Perusahaan yang dipilih berasal dari lima jenis inudstri yaitu bank, perusahaan manufaktur, perusahaan asuransi, rumah sakit dan perusahaan pembiayaan. Peneliti menggunakan metode survey dengan kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan data. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menguji kuesioner adalah analisis faktor, Cronbach’s Alpha dan inter-item correlation untuk analisis reliabilitas. Koefisien korelasi digunakan untuk menguji dampak alignment terhadap perceived business performance. Hasil mengindikasikan bahwa alignment berpengaruh terhadap perceived business performance. Bagaimanpun, alignment tidak signifikan pada perusahaan defender, analyzer dan prospector. Implikasi bagi penelitian selanjutnya juga didiskusikan dalam penelitian ini.

This study examines the impact of alignment on perceived business performance using Miles and Snow’s popular classification of Defender, Analyzer, and Prospector business strategy. Profile for these business strategies are developed using Venkrataman (1989). Theoretical profiles for IS strategies are developed in terms of four types system – operational support system, market information system, strategic decision support system and interorganizational systems. The selected companies were from five industries : Bank, Manufacture, insurance, hospital and leasing company. Researcher used survey method with questionnaires to collect the data. Instruments of the questionnaires were tested using Factor Analysis, Cronbach’s Alpha and inter-item correlation of Reliability Analysis. Correlation coefficient was used to examine the effect of alignment to perceives business performance. Result indicate that alignment affect perceived business performance. However, alignment was not significantly in defender, analyzer and prospector. Implications for future research are discussed.
