Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan membuktikan pengaruh penambahan ragi pada pengomposan kotoran sapi terhadap kandungan N, P, K, dan C/N rasio kompos yang dihasilkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Percobaan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan, yaitu tanpa penambahan ragi sebagai kontrol (R0), penambahan ragi sebanyak 50 ml (R2), penambahan ragi 100 ml (R3) dan penambahan ragi sebanyak 150 ml (R4) dengan berat kotoran sapi 50 kg/perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ragi dapat mempercepat waktu pengomposan dan dapat memperbaiki kualitas kompos. Angka C/N rasio dicapai pada hari ketujuh pengomposan. Pada hari hari ke 21 pengomposan telah memenuhi Standar SNI 19-7030-2004. Hasil pengomposan yang paling optimal pada perlakuan penambahan ragi 100 ml (R2), dengan hasil analisa diperoleh Corganik 29,67%, C/N rasio 15,70, N 1,89 %, P 1,06 %, dan K 0,91 %.

The aim of the research was to study the influence of addition “Ragi” as activator into composting of cattle manure on the N, P, K contents and C/N rasio of the compost. Research was conducted by Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments, i.e without activator addition as control (R0), 50 ml (R1), 100 ml (R2), and 150 ml (R3) of activator for 50 kg of manure. The result of the research indicated that addition of activator could reduce the length time of composting and improved quality of compost. The value of C/N ratio was reached at the day seven of composting. Compost similar to the quality Standard of SNI 19-7030-2004 was produced by composting manure for 21 days. Treatment of R2 was justified as the best process, that resulting compost contained C-Organic 29,67 %, C/N ratio 15,70, N 1,89 %, P 1,06 %, and K 0,91 %.
