Militer dalam kehidupan politik di Jawa :: Prajurit Keraton Yogyakarta 1792-1812

The aim of this research is to show military role in political life on Keraton Yogyakarta 1792-1812. Military forces contradicting king’s power. The permanent military is supporting king to attack there polotical enemy. These military forces are important for the king to end. This research is based on historical method. The year 1792- 1812 was chosen because on this time was a trancition power with two different results for military Yogyakarta position. In 1792 military had a solid position, in the meaning of established soldier performance, training, until ganing armed forces. The Dutch Government accepted military Keraton Yogyakarta as an opposite power to defend Kolonial Government existences in Java. In 1812 the existence of Keraton Yogyakarta military was descended because of English intervention. King’s has a role to make satria soul for their soldiers. The doktrin passed by piwulang and military practice hope can be insurance battle quality and loyality to their leader. King has full controlled in military role. Military involved in political life on Keraton depended on king’s policy in facing the conflict. This research found that military role in Keraton Yogyakarta as savers king’s politic space.
