Analisis Dampak Spin-Off Anak Perusahaan pada Kinerja PT Timah, Tbk

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menganalisis keadaan PT Timah pasca spin-off pada kinerja perusahaan tersebut. data diambil melalui oberservasi langsung ke perusahaan, dan juga dari proses wawancara dengan pihak manajemen. Analisis dilakukan dengan melihat kondisi industri saat ini, analisis keuangan, analisis strategi dengan menggunakan five force dan blindspot analysis, dan melihat peluang PT Timah pasca spin-off. Hasil dari analisis ini adalah bahwa PT Timah terlalu terburu-buru dalam melakukan proses spin-off, sehingga ada beberapa anak perusahaan yang belum mampu berdiri sendiri. Diversifikasi yang diambil perusahaan belum mampu untuk membuahkan laba maksimal bagi perusahaan, karena pendapatan beberapa anak perusahaan masih dari pasar internal. Selain itu perusahaan juga terlalu percaya diri menyebut dirinya sebagai perusahaan multikomoditas dan perusahaan timah terintegrasi, sehingga terlena dalam keadaan tersebut sementara bisnis utama yaitu timah mulai jenuh. Faktor eksternal yang sangat mempengaruhi adalah munculnya para tambang ilegal dan private smelter yang mengambil pangsa pasar Perusahaan. Alternatif yang bisa ditempuh perusahaan adalah dengan merangkul tambang ilegal tersebut dan memberikan kompensasi pembayaran, melakukan efisiensi pada produk-produknya yang cenderung memasuki fase maturity dan melakukan kerjasama eksplorasi dengan mitra luar.

This research is intended to analyze the circumstances of PT Timah Tbk after spin off based on the company performance. The data taken through direct observation to company, as well as from the process of interviewing the management. The analysis conducted by viewing the industrial condition at this time, financial analysis, strategy using fie forces and blindspot analysis, and look forward for the opportunity of PT Timah Tbk after the spin off. The result of this analysis is that PT Timah Tbk is too hasty in doing process of the spin off, so that there are some subsidiaries company which not to be able to be self-supporting. The diversification taken by the company also not yet be able to produce the maximum result for the company, because the earning point of some subsidiary company still from the internal market. On the other hand the company is being overconfident to mention itself as a multi commodity company and integrated tin company, so that doze in a state of the whereas especial business that is tin start saturated. The very influencing external factor is the appearance of illegal mining and private smelter that taking the market share of the company. The alternatives solution can be done by the company are through work together with illegal mining and give the payment compensation, conduct the efficiency of its product which tend to enter the maturity phase and conduct the partnership with outside party.
