Kajian mengenai kompetensi analis sistem :: Studi komparasi antara praktisi dan akademisi

2006 | Tesis | S2 Teknik Elektro (Magister Teknologi Informasi)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan membandingkan persepsi pihak praktisi (x) dan akademisi (y) mengenai tingkat kompetensi seorang analis sistem dan kontribusi matakuliah yang ditawarkan oleh program pascasarjana Magister Teknologi Informasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (MTI UGM) terhadap pengembangan kompetensi analis sistem. Alat ukur penelitian berupa kuesioner dengan tipe pilihan. Hipotesis diuji dengan menggunakan metode perbandingan rata-rata dan korelasi Pearson. Hasil studi komparasi pada taraf nyata 0,1 menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara persepsi praktisi dan akademisi mengenai kompetensi analis sistem, namun terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara persepsi mengenai kontribusi matakuliah Komunikasi Bisnis dan Profesional (p=0,073) serta matakuliah Manajemen Proyek terhadap pengembangan kompetensi analis sistem (p=0,001). Pengujian pada taraf nyata 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi praktisi dan akademisi, baik mengenai tingkat kepentingan kompetensi analis sistem (rxy = 0,836) maupun kontribusi matakuliah yang ditawarkan oleh pihak MTI UGM teradap pengembangan kompetensi analis sistem (rxy=0,750).
The objective of this research is to investigate and also compare the perception of practicioners and academics according of systems analyst’s competencies and contribution of the subjects that were offered by the post graduate program of MTI of Gadjah Mada University (GMU) due to the systems analyst’s competencies development. The research instrument was used questionnaire with force choice type. The hypothesis were tested using the mean difference and the Pearson correlation. The result of the comparative study with level of significance 0,1 showed that there was no significant difference between the perception of the practicioner group and the academics group about the systems analyst’s competencies, meanwhile there was significant difference between the perception about the contribution of the Business & Profesional Communication subject (p=0,073) and the Project Management subject (p=0,001) to the development of the systems analyst’s competencies. The test result using level of significance 0,05 showed that there was significant correlation between the practicioner group and the academics group, either about the systems analyst’s competencies (rxy=0,836) and also the contribution of the subjects offered by the MTI GMU due to the development of the systems analyst’s competencies (rxy=0,750).
