Latar Belakang. Terjadi peningkatan kasus dan kematian yang disebabkan oleh TB-Paru. Pada tahun 2004 di Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Solok serta Dinas Kesehatan dan Kessos Kabupaten Solok Selatan angka kesembuhan pada TB-Paru BTA positif baru mencapai 69,7% sedangkan target yang telah ditetapkan 85%. Angka penemuan kasus baru BTA positif hanya 52,2% sedangkan target yang harus dicapai 70%. Pada tahun 2002 angka kesembuhan pada TB-Paru BTA positif mencapai 71,3% dan angka penemuan kasus baru BTA positif 54,8%. Pada tahun 2003 angka kesembuhan pada TB-Paru BTA positif 71,5% dan angka penemuan kasus baru BTA positif 54,8%. Komitmen dan kinerja petugas pengelola program TB-Paru itu sendiri perlu diketahui. Tujuan Penelitian. Untuk mengetahui komitmen dan kinerja petugas dalam pengelolaan program TB-Paru pada puskesmas di Kabupaten Solok dan Kabupaten Solok Selatan. Metode Penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan rancangan cross sectional (potong lintang). Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh petugas pengelola program TB-Paru pada puskesmas di Kabupaten Solok dan Solok Selatan dengan jumlah 24 orang. Variabel bebas penelitian ini adalah komitmen petugas, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah kinerja petugas pengelola program TB-Paru. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner dan pemeriksaan sistem pencatatan dan pelaporan program TB-Paru. Teknis analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah korelasi, untuk menguji hubungan antara variabel bebas dengan variabel terikat. Hasil Penelitian. Komitmen petugas berhubungan signifikan dengan kinerja petugas pengelola program TB-Paru pada puskesmas di Kabupaten Solok dan Kabupaten Solok Selatan ( r = 0,705, p = 0,000 ). Di samping itu dari hasil chi kuadrat ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis kelamin, umur, pendidikan dan masa kerja terhadap komitmen petugas pengelola TB-Paru, antara jenis kelamin, umur, pendidikan dan masa kerja tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan yang signifikan terhadap kinerja. Kesimpulan. Komitmen petugas mempunyai hubungan dengan kinerja petugas pengelola program TB-Paru

Background: There are increasing cases and mortality its pulmonary tuberculosis. In 2004 at the Health Office of Solok District and Health and Social Welfare Office of Solok Selatan District recovery rate of positive acid fast baccilus of pulmonary tuberculosis was only as much as 69.7% whereas the target was 85% and discovery of positive acid fast baccilus new case was only 52.2% whereas the target was 70%. Recovery rate of positive acid fast baccilus of pulmonary tuberculosis was as much as 71.3% in 2002 and 71.5% in 2003. Discovery of positive acid fast baccilus new case was 54.8%. In 2002 and 54.8% in 2003. Commitment and performance of pulmonary tuberculosis program staff needs to be identified. Objective: To identify commitment and performance of staff of pulmonary tuberculosis program at community health center of Solok and Solok Selatan District. Method: The study used cross sectional design. Population consisted of all (24) staff of pulmonary tuberculosis program at community health center of Solok and Solok Selatan District. Independent variable of the study was staff commitment, whereas dependent variable was performance of staff of pulmonary tuberculosis program. Data were obtained through questionnaire and observation of recording and reporting system of pulmonary tuberculosis program. Statistical analysis used correlation technique to evaluate relationship between independent and dependent variable. Result: Staff commitment had significant relationship with performance of staff of pulmonary tuberculosis program at community health center of Solok and Solok Selatan District (r=0.705, p=0.000). Meanwhile the result of chi square showed that there was significant relationship between gender, age, education and length of work and commitment of pulmonary tuberculosis staff; and there was no significant relationship between gender, age, education and length of work and performance. Conclusion: Commitment of staff affected performance of staff of pulmonary tuberculosis program
