Kepatuhan pelaksanaan General Precautions di Instalasi Kesehatan Anak RS Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta

Latar belakang : Infeksi nosokomial merupakan masalah besar dalam pelayanan kesehatan. Prinsip dasar pencegahan penyebaran infeksi nosokomial adalah memisahkan sumber infeksi dan memotong rute transmisi, yang dikenal sebagai general precautions. Akan tetapi tingkat kepatuhan pelaksanaan general precautions oleh petugas kesehatan masih kurang. Faktor-faktor yang mungkin mempengaruhi kepatuhan pelaksanaan general precautions meliputi karakteristik individu, faktor yang berhubungan dengan pekerjaan dan faktor organisasi/tempat kerja Tujuan : Mengetahui kepatuhan pelaksanaan general precautions oleh petugas kesehatan di Instalasi Kesehatan Anak RS. Dr Sardjito Yogyakarta dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Metode : Cross sectional. Data mengenai faktor demografi, faktor psikososial, tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan kepatuhan pelaksanaan general precautions dianalisis secara diskriptif. Untuk mencari perbedaan antara faktor-yang mempengaruhi kepatuhan dan ketidakpatuhan dilakukan analisis dengan uji χ2 dan student’s t test. Untuk mencari hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel tergantung dilakukan uji regresi logistik. Hasil : Dengan penelitian diharapkan ini dapat diketahui tingkat kepatuhan petugas kesehatan terhadap pelaksanaan general precautions dan dapat dipakai sebagai masukan dalam pengendalian infeksi nosokomial, sehingga kejadian infeksi nosokomial tidak menambah beban pasien pada saat menjalani rawat inap di rumah sakit.

Background : Nosocomial infections are big problem in health services. Basic principles govern the main measure that should be taken in order to prevent the spread of nosocomial infections are separate the infection source and cut off any route of transmission, that we known as general precautions. However, the compliance with general precautions among healthcare worker are still low. Factors affecting general precautions compliance include individual characteristic, factor that associated with occupation and management factor. Objective : The aim of this study is to know the compliance with general precautions among healthcare worker’s in Pediatric Division Dr. Sardjito General Hospital Yogyakarta and factors affecting general precautions. Methode : Cross sectional study. Data about demography and physicosocial factors, knowledge, attitude and practice with general precautions will be analyzed by descriptive analysis. To know the different between factors affecting compliance and noncompliance with general precautions will be analyzed by χ2 and student t test. The correlation between dependent variable and independent variable will be analyzed by logistic regression. Result : We expect from the study result will be known degree of compliance with general precautions among health-care worker and will be useful to control nosocomial infections, so nosocomial infections can not increase the costs of patients when they hospitalized.
