Pendahulan: Pasien fraktur pangkal paha yang dirawat di RS. Sarjito biasanya ditangani dengan menggunakan Austin Moore Prostesis (AMP) dan Plate Screw yang membutuhkan waktu perawatan sampai pasien tersebut pulang antara 9-33 hari tergantung dari tingkat keparahan fraktur tersebut. Biaya yang dikeluarkan pasien fraktur pangkal paha antara Rp. 5.762.620-17.623.250 pada perawatan pasien di Klas III, sedangkan pada perawatan Klas II-VIP antara Rp. 9.004.750-22.873.500. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa biaya penanganan pasien fraktur pangkal paha masih relatif sangat mahal dan memerlukan lama perawatan yang cukup lama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuinya waktu dan biaya perawatan pasien fraktur pangkal paha yang ditangani dengan AMP dan Plate screw yang dirawat di RS. Dr. Sardjito Jogjakarta. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan Cross sectional study. Hasil: Terdapat perbedaan karakteristik jenis kelamin pasien fraktur pangkal paha yang dilakukan AMP dan Plate screw dan terdapat perbedaan kelompok umur pada pasien fraktur pangkal paha antara yang ditangani dengan AMP dan Plate screw, dan tidak terdapat pebedaan kelas perawatan pasien fraktur pangkal paha yang ditangani dengan AMP maupun Plate screw. Tidak terdapat perbedaan rerata lama hari perawatan pasien fraktur pangkal paha antara yang ditangani dengan AMP maupun Plate screw. Terdapat perbedaan rerata total biaya perawatan pasien fraktur pangkal paha antara yang ditangani dengan AMP dan Plate screw. Tetapi tidak terdapat perebedaan rerata biaya perhari yang dikeluarkan oleh pasien yang ditangani dengan AMP maupun Plate screw. Simpulan: Tidak terdapat perbedaan rerata waktu dan biaya per hari perawatan pasien fraktur pangkal paha yang ditangani dengan menggunakan AMP dan Plate Screw di RS. Dr. Sardjito pada tahun 2004- 2005.

Introduction: Patients with hip fracture in Dr. Sardjito General Hospital treated with Austin Moore Prostesis (AMP) and Plate Screw. The Length of stay until the pasien was discharged ranged between 9-33 days, depend on the severity of the fracture.Mean cost of the patients with hip fracture in VIP ward treated with AMP was Rp 10,387,350 and with plate screw was Rp 8,882,350. In the first class, mean cost of AMP was Rp 8,853,150 and with plate screw was Rp 8,230,100. In the second class, mean cost of AMP was Rp 8,419,100 and with plate screw was Rp 6,836,500. In the third class, mean cost of AMP was Rp 6,384,625 and with plate screw was Rp 6,434,000. The data shown cost of treatment of patient with hip fracture is still relatively very expensive. The lengsth of stay was quite long. The goal of the research was to know length of stay and cost of patient with hip fracture compared between those treated with AMP and plate screw in Dr. Sardjito General Hospital Jogjakarta. Methods: The study design is a descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach. Results: There are statistically-proven differents based on sex and group of age between hip fracture patients treated with AMP and plate screw. There is no statistically-proven differents based on ward type between hip fracture patients treated with AMP and plate screw. There is no statistically-proven differents based on length of stay between hip fracture patients treated with AMP and plate screw. There is statistically-proven differents based on total cost between hip fracture patients treated with AMP and plate screw. But there is no statistically-proven differents based on average daily cost between hip fracture patients treated with AMP and plate screw based on ward type. Conclusion: There is no statistically-proven differents average length of stay and average daily cost between hip fracture patients treated with AMP and plate screw in Dr. Sardjito General Hospital in 2004-2005.
