Perbedaan efek penambahan ketebalan Bite Plane 1 mm dan 1,5 mm terhadap intrusi gigi anterior rahang bawah pada perawatan deep over bite anak umur 10-11 tahun :: Serial kasus

The aim of orthodontic treatment to the children is to perform profile and balance through improve dento alveolar development, skeletal and musculer imbalance before permanent teeth erupted completely. Deep over bite or exceeds over bite can identified by the overbite measurement which exceeds on – third of mandibular incisor crown and it classified dental, skeletal and dento skeletal. Bite plane anterior maxillar was a removable appliances can using to corection deep over bite. The aim of serial case was to known effect different increment of bite plane thickness 1 mm and 1,5 mm to intrude the mandibular incisors teeth in treatment deep over bite. It was reported two case of a 10 – 11 years old girls has deep over bite tipe dental with over bite 6 mm. The regiment using 1 mm thickness bite plane on the first patient and 1,5 mm thickness for the second patient. The examination every two week ago for determined by clinical and radiographic. After two week ago, the first patient there was luxation and pain in percussion in the four mandibular anterior teeth and examination the radiograph slightly lessened periodontal space width and lamina dura thickness in the apical area of the four incisors. The second patient slight luxation, had gingival redness and she felt pain in area of the four mandibular anterior teeth, which was examination the radiograph showed periodontal space and lamina dura thickness were grossly lessned in the periapical of the four mandibular incisor. It was showed always increment of bite plane thickening. The evaluation after three month in the first patient and four month in the second patient, showed repair ligamentum periodontal and lamina dura it was showed description radiolusence and radiopaque same before treatment.The conclusion drawn from this report is that increment 1 mm thickness bite plane has better intrusion effect on periapical tissue than increment 1,5 mm thickness bite plane
