Evaluasi kebutuhan dermaga dan ruang parkir kendaraan pada pelabuhan Bakauheni dan Merak

Padatnya lintas angkutan Penyeberangan Bakauheni–Merak menempatkan pelabuhan penyeberangan ini termasuk moda transportasi yang vital sebagai penghubung Pulau Sumatera dan Jawa. Setiap permasalahan yang menyebabkan stagnasi pada lintas penyeberangan ini harus menjadi perhatian serius. Porsi terbesar dalam lintas penyeberangan ini adalah kendaraan karena bersifat captive, sehingga diperlukan evaluasi terhadap kebutuhan dermaga dan ruang parkir kendaraan siap muat kapal. Tujuan dalam evaluasi ini agar terwujud angkutan lintas penyeberangan Bakauheni dan Merak yang lancar. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan suatu estimasi produksi angkutan penyeberangan untuk 20 tahun kedepan dengan metode liner dan non linier. Skenario yang diambil adalah moderat dan optimis dengan masing-masing kriteria tertentu. Estimasi yang didapat merupakan dasar dalam penentuan jumlah dermaga dan ruang parkir yang akan dibutuhkan untuk jangka 5 tahunan hingga 20 tahun mendatang. Hasil evaluasi kebutuhan dermaga dengan skenario moderat yang didapat dari asumsi real estimate adalah dibutuhkannya 2 dermaga pada tahun 2005 hingga tahun 2010, 3 dermaga pada tahun 2015, 4 dermaga pada tahun 2020 dan 5 dermaga pada tahun 2025 sedangkan skenario optimis adalah 2 dermaga pada tahun 2005, 3 dermaga pada tahun 2010 hingga 2015, 4 dermaga pada tahun 2020 dan 6 dermaga pada tahun 2025. Dengan pengembangan dermaga tersebut hasil evaluasi kebutuhan ruang parkir kendaraan siap muat kapal masih mencukupi

The busy ferry route of Bakauheni-Merak makes the ferry route harbours as a vital transportation mode for connecting Sumatra and Java Islands. Therefore, each problem causing stagnation of the ferry route traffic could cause congestion seriously. The greatest portion of the crossing ferry transports are vehicles (trucks) because they are captive, so that it is necessary to evaluate the piers and park space needs for the loading vehicles. The objective of the study is to investigate the current and future condition of the ferry line between Bakauheni-Merak. Moreover, this study was to estimate total ferry transporters for the next 20 years by linear and non linear methods. Scenarios used in this study are moderate and optimistic with each certain criterion. To determine the total piers and park spaces need for the next 5 to 20 years was based on the result of the estimation. The results of the study showed that; for moderate scenario is needed 2 piers from 2005 to 2010, 3 piers in 2015, 4 piers in 2020 and 5 piers in 2025. Whereas from the optimistic scenario; 2 piers in 2005, 3 piers from 2010 to 2015, 4 piers in 2020 and 6 piers in 2025 are needed. In addition, given development of piers, the results of evaluation showed that no additional park space is needed. Keywords: harbour, piers, vehicles park space
