Pengembangan aplikasi perpustakaan menggunakan Dynamic MARC Record

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi perpustakaan yang telah ada sebelumnya dengan penerapan konsep Dynamic MARC Record. Penerapan konsep Dynamic MARC Record pada proses katalogisasi perpustakaan ini digunakan sebagai acuan dalam menentukan kolom masukan data untuk beberapa jenis koleksi perpustakaan. Dalam penerapan konsep ini juga diharapkan dapat memudahkan pengaturan penggunaan fitur yang dapat disesuaikan dengan jenis pengguna yang ada di perpustakaan seperti fitur yang hanya digunakan pada bagian sirkulasi atau fitur yang hanya digunakan pada bagian katalogisasi. Dalam penelitian, data-data proses yang diperlukan untuk menerapkan konsep Dynamic MARC Record diambil dari beberapa perpustakaan yang telah menerapakan penggunaan MARC Record pada proses katalogisasi dengan cara melakukan ujicoba pada aplikasi yang telah berjalan di masing-masing perpustakaan, melakukan wawancara dengan petugas yang memiliki fungsi dan tugas yang berbeda, serta pencarian referensi yang berkaitan dengan konsep Dynamic MARC Record. Data informasi tersebut diolah dan diterapkan dalam sebuah aplikasi perpustakaan yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini dan menghasilkan tabel penyimpan informasi data koleksi yang dinamis dengan kemampuan melakukan perubahan kolom tabel yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan masukan data dari masing-masing perpustakaan yang telah menerapkan MARC Record sebagai acuan proses katalogiasasi. Selain itu juga, aplikasi ini mampu membagi penggunaan fitur sesuai dengan jenis pengguna yang ada di masing-masing perpustakaan.

The research was carried out to develop the application of the available library beforehand with the implementation of the concept of Dynamic MARC Record. The implementation of Dynamic MARC Record concept to processing of cataloguing of this library was used as the reference in determining the column of data input for several kinds of the library's collection. In the implementation of this concept also was expected to be able to facilitate the use regulation fitur that could be matched with the user's available kind in the library like module that only was used in the circulation part or module that only was used in the cataloguing part. In the research, the process data that was needed to apply the concept of Dynamic MARC Record was taken from several libraries that applied the use of MARC Record in the process of cataloguing by means of doing the test in the application that went in respectively the library, did the interview with the official who had the function and the task that were different, as well as the search for the reference that was linked with the concept of Dynamic MARC Record. This information data was processed and applied in an application of the library that was developed in this research and produced the table that kept data information the dynamic collection with the capacity to carry out the change in the column of the table that was matched with the requirement for data input from respectively the library that applied MARC Record as the process reference cataloguing. Moreover also, this application could divide the use fitur was in accordance with the user's available kind in respectively the library.
