Pengembangan prototipe generator ensiklopedia berbasis multimedia

Saat ini tools untuk membuat ensiklopedia digital masih sangat sedikit jumlahnya. Dengan adanya suatu generator ensiklopedia maka seorang developer ensiklopedia atau seorang pengguna bisa memanfaatkan tools tersebut untuk mengembangkan suatu ensiklopedia dengan berbagaimacam konten sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan keinginannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu tools untuk membuat ensiklopedia digital berbasis multimedia yang praktis dan mudah digunakan. Selain itu juga untuk memudahkan para pemakai untuk mendapatkan informasi dari ensiklopedia yang telah dibuat dengan lebih jelas, karena hasil output yang dihasilkan tidak hanya berupa text dan gambar saja namun juga suara dan video. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Generator ensiklopedia yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini memiliki kelebihan dimana mampu menampilkan informasi berupa data multimedia seperti text, suara, gambar, dan animasi. Ensiklopedia tersebut juga memiliki fasilitas terhubung dengan internet untuk melakukan pencarian dengan masuk ke dalam situs Wikipedia. Selain itu juga terdapat fasilitas untuk melakukan pencarian secara online dengan bantuan search engine Google. Namun masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan pada ensiklopedia ini, yaitu tidak memiliki fasilitas untuk melakukan edit terhadap artikel, konten database belum terproteksi, dan tampilan (user interface) yang masih standar. Dari hasil kuisioner dapat dilihat tingkat kepuasan pengguna terhadap aplikasi tersebut, berdasarkan kategori kemudahan pemakaian dapat dilihat bahwa mayoritas responden (12 responden atau 60%) menganggap bahwa tools generator ensiklopedia mudah untuk digunakan. Berdasarkan kategori tampilan, mayoritas responden (11 responden atau 55%) menganggap tampilan generator ensiklopedia adalah cukup. Berdasarkan kategori manfaat, 13 responden (65%) menganggap bahwa generator ensiklopedia bermanfaat.Berdasarkan kategori fitur yang ditawarkan mayoritas responden (16 responden atau 60%) menganggap bahwa fitur generator ensikopedia sudah lengkap.

At this time tools to make the encyclopedia digital still very few amount. With the encyclopedia generator then an encyclopedia developer or an user could use this tool to develop an encyclopedia with the different of content in accordance with the requirement and his need. This research aimed to produce a tool to make the digital encyclopedia based on multimedia wich ease to be used. Also to facilitate the users to get information from the encyclopedia that was made with clearer, because the view output not only the picture but also the voice and the video. From the results of this research could be concluded that the encyclopedia generator had the ability to view information of the multimedia data like text, the voice, the picture, and animation. This encyclopedia also had facilities to connected with the internet to search by entering the Wikipedia site. It also had abilities to search with using search engine Google. However there was several lacks to this encyclopedia, that is not having facilities to do edited against the article, content database was not yet protected, and user interface wich still the standard. From results of the questioner could be seen by the level of the user's satisfaction towards this application, was based on the category of the ease of the use could be seen that the respondent's majority (12 respondents or 60%) regarded that tools the encyclopedia generator was easy to be used. Was based on the viewer category, the respondent's majority (11 respondents or 55%) regarded user interface of the encyclopedia generator was to be enough. Was based on the category of the benefit, 13 respondents (65%) considered that the encyclopedia generator was useful. Was based on the category feature that was offered by the respondent's majority (16 respondents or 60%) regarded that feature the generator encyclopedia has been complete.
