Efektivitas pelatihan perencanaan karir untuk meningkatkan arah pilihan bidang minat karir pada mahasiswa semester III Fakultas Psikologi

2005 | Tesis | S2 Psikologi (Psikologi Terapan)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas pelatihan perencanaan karir dalam meningkatkan kejelasan arah pilihan bidang minat karir pada mahasiswa semester III Fakultas Psikologi. Penelitian bersifat eksperimental dengan menggunakan disain eksperimen pre test post test control group design. Pengukuran menggunakan alat ukur yang berupa skala yang diberikan selama 3 kali pada subyek, yaitu dalam pre test , post test 1 (sesudah pelatihan) dan post test 2 (2 minggu setelah pengukuran). Selain itu digunakan analisis kualitatif berdasarkan hasil FGD (Focus Group Discussion) dan lembar wawasan karir pada saat pre test , hasil evaluasi pelatihan, serta hasil observasi pelatihan pada post test 1 dan hasil in depth interview pada saat post test 2. Jumlah subyek dalam penelitian berjumlah 22 orang untuk kelompok eksperimen dan 22 orang untuk kelompok kontrol yang merupakan mahasiswa semester III Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Ada perbedaan dalam kejelasan arah pilihan bidang minat karir yang sangat signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen dalam pre test , post test 1 dan post test. (2) Ada perbedaan dalam kejelasan arah pilihan bidang minat karir yang sangat signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen antara pre test dan post test (t = -6,263 dan p < 0,01, x pre test = 157,05 dan x post test 1 172,05). (3) Ada perbedaan dalam kejelasan arah pilihan bidang minat karir yang sangat signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen antara post test 1 dan post test 2 (t = -9,557 dan p < 0,01, x post test 1 = 172,05 dan x post test 2 = 174). (4) Ada perbedaan dalam gained score 1 yang sangat signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol (z = -5,693, p < 0,01, x gained score 1 kelompok eksperimen = 15,45, x gained score 1 kelompok kontrol = 0,36. (5) Ada perbedaan dalam gained score 2 yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol (z = -1,990, p < 0,05, x gained score 2 kelompok eksperimen = 2,86, x gained score 2 kelompok kontrol = 1,50. (6). Pelatihan perencanaan karir memberikan sumbangan sebesar 65 % dalam meningkatkan kejelasan arah pilihan bidang minat karir (eta squared = 0,650).
The research was aimed to examine the effectiveness of career planning in making a firm career choice of the third semester of psychology students. The research was conducted experimentally using the pre test post test group design. The measurements were based on a scale which were carried out three times on the subjects, i.e. at the pre test, the post test-1 (after training), and the post test -2 (two weeks after the measurement). Furthermore, a qualitative analysis was done derived from the FGD (Focus Group Discussion) results, the career information forms distributed at the pre test, the training evaluation, and the observation during the trainingat the post test 1, and the in-depth interview during the post test 2. The subjects of this study were 44 students of Faculty of Psychology, Ahmad Dahlan University, Yogyakarta, which were splitted into a control group (22 students) and a experimental group (22 students). The result s show that: (1) there is a very significant difference in choice of career intention of the experimental group observed in the pre test, the post test-1, and the post test-2, (2) there is a very significant difference in choice of career intention of the experimental group observed in the pre test, the post test 1 (t = - 6.263 dan p < 0.01, x pre test = 157.05, and x post test-1 = 172.05) , (3) there is a very significant difference in choice of career intention of the experimental group observed in the post test-1, the post test-2 (t = -9.557 dan p < 0,01, x post test-1 = 172.05 dan x post test-2 = 174), (4) there is a very significant difference between the experimental group dan the control group in the gained score-1 (z = - 5.693, p < 0.01, x gained score-1 of the experimental group = 15.45, x gained score-1 of the control group = 0.36), (5) there is a significant difference between the experimental group dan the control group in the gained score-2 (z = -1.990, p < 0.05, x gained score-2 of the experimental group = 2.86, x gained score -2 of the experimental group = 1.50), (6) the career planning training gives a contribution 65% in fixing choice of career intention (eta squared = 0.650).
