Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menjawab permasalahan Bagaimana perlindungan hukum dalam perjanjian sub lisensi antara Yamaha Musik Indonesia dengan Sekolah Musik Makassar sebagai penyelenggara sekolah musik dan Apakah dalam perjanjian sublisensi tercipta keseimbangan diantara kedua pihak. Penelitian ini bersifat empiris yuridis, yaitu dengan cara melakukan penelitian lapangan untuk memperoleh data primer dan penelitian kepustakaan untuk memperoleh data sekunder. Penelitian dilakukan mengenai perjanjian sub-lisensi penyelenggaraan kursus musik di Sekolah Musik Makassar. Pada perjanjian sub-lisensi penyelenggaraan kursus musik Yamaha antara PT. Yamaha Musik Indonesia sebagai licensee dengan Sekolah Musik Makassar (penerima sub-lisensi) belum terjamin perlindungan hukum, karena Sekolah Musik Makassar sebagai penyelenggara kursus musik harus mengikuti ketentuan-ketentuan format yang diajukan oleh PT. Yamaha Musik Indonesia. Belum terciptanya keseimbangan dalam perjanjian sub-lisensi penyelenggaraan kursus musik Yamaha antara PT. Yamaha Musik Indonesia sebagai licensor dengan Sekolah Musik Makassar

The research endeavors to examine the legal protection of sublicensing agreement between Yamaha music of Indonesia and Music School of Makassar as the holder of the music school and whether there is a balance proportion between the two parties. The research is juridical-empirical in nature, namely conducted by doing field research to obtain the primary data and library research to obtain the secondary data. The research was about the sub-licensing agreement for the holder of music course in the Music School of Makassar. In the agreement of the implementation of the sub-licensing between Yamaha Music School as the license owner and Music School of Makassar (sub-license), there has not been any legal protection because Music School of Makassar as the holder of the music school must follow the specified format proposed by Yamaha Music of Indonesia. There has not been any balance or proportion in the agreement of the implementation of the sub-licensing between Yamaha Music of Indonesia as the license owner and the Music School of Makassar as the holder.
