Penelitian tentang “ Perlindungan Hukum Terhadap Pihak Kreditur Dalam Pelaksanaan Eksekusi Hak Tanggungan Di Kota Yogyakarta Dengan Berlakunya Undang-Undang Nomer 4 Tahun 1996 “ dilakukan untuk mengetahui dan mencari jawaban tentang : Bagaimana perlindungan hukum bagi pihak kreditur dalam pelaksanaan eksekusi Hak Tanggungan dengan berlakunya Undang-undang Nomer 4 Tahun 1996. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum normatif bersifat deskriptif analisis. Bersifat deskriptif karena dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat diperoleh data yang menggambarkan secara jelas bagaimana perlindungan hukum bagi kreditur dalam pelaksanaan eksekusi Hak Tanggungan dengan berlakunya Undang-undang Nomer 4 Tahun 1996. Bersifat analisis karena dari data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini meliputi data sekunder dan data primer. Data sekunder diperoleh dari studi kepustakaan sedangkan data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara secara langsung dengan nara sumber serta responden. Lokasi penelitian di Yogyakarta. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa Undang-undang Nomer 4 Tahun 1996 tentang Hak Tanggungan Atas Tanah dan Benda-benda yang Berkaitan dengan Tanah telah memberi perlindungan hukum bagi para kreditur.

The study of “Law Protection For the Creditors in The Implementation Of Guaranteed Rights in Execution in the City of Yogyakarta which Caused By Laws Number 4 Year 1996” was done to get and reach the answer of : how is the law protection for the creditors in the implementation of Guaranteed Rights in Execution in the city of Yogyakarta caused by Laws Number 4 Year 1996 being done. This is a study about normative law which is characterized in descriptive analysis. Descriptived because this study is given to explain clearly how is the the law protection for the creditors in the implementation of Guaranteed Rights in Execution in the city of Yogyakarta caused by Laws Number 4 Year 1996. Analysed because from the information that collected had been qualitative analysed. The information collected in this study consists of primary and secondary information. The secondary information collected from the study of literature while primary information was got from the direct interview from the first person and the respondents as well. The study is located in the city of Yogyakarta. This study had gave a result of information that Laws Number 4 Year 1996 had given the law protection for the creditors. But in the practice, there are some difficulties on the applied of Laws Number 4 Year 1996.
