Pengaruh suplementasi Vitamin C dan Vitamin E pada ransum puyuh terhadap produksi dan daya tetas telur

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi vitamin C dan vitamin E pada ransum puyuh terhadap produksi dan daya tetas telur. Dua ratus empat puluh tiga ekor puyuh betina umur satu bulan dan delapan puluh satu ekor puyuh jantan umur dua bulan ditempatkan pada 9 kelompok perlakuan ransum yang berbeda. Masing-masing perlakuan ransum diulang tiga kali dan setiap ulangan terdiri dari 9 ekor puyuh betina dan 3 ekor puyuh jantan. Sembilan perlakuan ransum tersebut adalah : R0 (ransum dasar dengan protein kasar 20,5 %, energi metabolis 2600 kcal/kg, R1 ( R0 + vitamin C 150 mg/kg), R2 (R0 + vitamin C 300 mg/kg), R3 ( R0 + vitamin E 25 I.U/kg), R4 (R0 + vitamin E 50 I.U/kg), R5 (R0 + vitamin C 150 mg/kg + vitamin E 25 I.U/kg), R6 (R0 + vitamin C 150 mg/kg + vitamin E 50 I.U/kg), R7 (R0 + vitamin C 300 mg/kg + vitamin E 25 I.U/kg), R8 (R0 + vitamin C 300 mg/kg + vitamin E 50 I.U/kg). Ransum dan air minum diberikan secara ad libitum. Data yang diambil meliputi : konsumsi pakan, produksi telur, berat telur, konversi pakan, fertilitas, daya tetas, kandungan vitamin E telur, kadar glukosa darah dan berat testis. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis variansi menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Pola Searah dan apabila ada perbedaan diteruskan dengan Uji Kontras. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi vitamin C memberikan pengaruh yang sangat signifikan (P<0,01) terhadap peningkatan konsumsi pakan, produksi telur, efisiensi pakan, dan berat testis, dan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan (P<0.05) terhadap fertilitas dan daya tetas tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap peningkatan kendungan vitamin E telur. Suplementasi vitamin E menunjukkan peningkatan yang sangat signifikan (P<0,01) terhadap fertilitas, daya tetas telur dan kandungan vitamin E telur tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap peningkatan konsumsi pakan, produksi telur, efisiensi pakan dan berat telur. Kombinasi suplementasi vitamin C dan vitamin E menunjukkan peningkatan yang sangat signifikan (P<0,01) terhadap konsumsi pakan, produksi telur, efisiensi pakan, fertilitas, daya tetas telur, kandungan vitamin E telur, dan berat testis serta menurunkan secara sangat signifikan (P<0,01) terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan berat telur. Kombinasi suplementasi vitamin C 300 mg/ kg ransum dengan vitamin E 50 IU/ kg ransum memberikan hasil yang paling baik terhadap produksi dan daya tetas telur puyuh

The experiment was conducted to determine the effect of vitamine C and vitamine E supplementation in quail diet on production, and egg hatchability. Two hundred and fourty three of female quails of one month old and eighty one of male quails of two month old were devided into nine dietary treatments. Each treatments was replicated three times with nine female quails and three male quails per replication. The nine dietary treatments were those of R0 (diet with CP 20,5 % and ME 2600 kcal/kg), R1(R0 + 150 mg/kg vitamine C ), R2 (R0 + 300 mg/kg vitamine C), R3 ( R0 + 25 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R4 ( R0 + 50 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R5 ( R0 + 150mg/kg vitamine C + 25 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R6 ( R0 + 150 mg/kg vitamine C + 50 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R7 ( R0 + 300 mg/kg vitamine C + 25 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R8 ( R0 + 300 mg/kg vitamine C + 50 I.U/kg vitamine E ). All dietary treatments and drinking water were given adlibitum. The measured variables were feed consumption, eggs production, eggs weight, feed conversion ratio, fertility, hatchability, blood glucose, vitamin E concentration in the egg, and testes weight.The collected data were analysed using analysis of variance following a Completely Randomized Design and continued by Contrast Test if the result indicated significant differences. The result showed that vitamine C supplementation in quail diet was very significantly (P<0.01) increased feed consumption, eggs production, feed convertion ratio, testes weight. It showed significantly (P<0.05) increase on fertility and hatchability, but it was not significantly increase on vitamine E concentration in the egg. Vitamine E supplementation in quail diet caused very significant (P<0.01) increase on fertility, hatchability, and vitamine E concentration in the egg, but it did not significantly increase feed consumption, eggs production, feed efficiency and eggs weight. Combination between vitamine C and vitamine E supplementation in quail diet caused very significant (P<0.01) increase on feed consumption, eggs production, feed efficiency, fertility, hatchability, vitamine E concentration in the egg, testes weight and it showed very significant (P<0.01) decrease on blood glucose and eggs weight. Diet combination between 300 mg/kg vitamine C and 50 IU/kg vitamine E (R8) resulted the best eggs production and hatchability of quail.
