The increasing demand for heat dissipation in high-heat-flux thermal systems encourages the development of two-phase heat transfer technologies, particularly in pool boiling processes. This study experimentally investigates the effect of ultrasonic frequency variation on the heat transfer characteristics of pool boiling on smooth copper and microchannel-microcavity surfaces. The experiments were conducted using distilled water under atmospheric pressure with smooth and microchannel-microcavity surfaces having channel spacings of 0,5 mm and 1 mm and a microcavity depth of 0.3 mm. The ultrasonic frequencies used were 0, 20, 30, and 40 kHz, while the analyzed parameters included the characteristics of the boiling curve, heat flux, and heat transfer coefficient (HTC). The 0 kHz condition was used as a reference condition without ultrasonic vibration. The results show that the microchannel-microcavity surfaces provide better heat transfer characteristics than the smooth surface, particularly at a channel spacing of 0,5 mm. At 0 kHz, the 0.5 mm surface produces a maximum heat flux of 955.54 kW/m^2 at an excess temperature of 10.94 C, while the 1 mm surface produces 939.13 kW/m^2 at 18.51 C and the smooth surface produces 967.39 kW/m^2 at 21.30 C. Although the smooth surface produces a higher maximum heat flux, this value is achieved at a higher excess temperature. Based on the position of the boiling curves, the 0.5 mm surface demonstrates the best heat transfer characteristics. For the 0,5 mm surface, the maximum HTC values are 87.33, 79.51, 79.08, and 78.04 kW/m^2.K at frequencies of 0, 20, 30, and 40 kHz, respectively. Meanwhile, for the 1 mm surface, the maximum HTC values are 50.75, 52.19, 52.73, and 51.57 kW/m^2.K at the same frequencies. These results indicate that the effect of ultrasonic frequency is non-monotonic and depends on the surface characteristics. For the 0,5 mm surface, the condition without ultrasonic vibration produces the highest HTC, whereas for the 1 mm surface, the highest HTC is obtained at a frequency of 30 kHz, with a value of 52.73 kW/m^2.K. Overall, the 0,5 mm surface produces a higher maximum HTC than the smooth surface under the 0 kHz condition. The results show that microchannel-microcavity surface modification can improve pool boiling performance, while the application of ultrasonic frequency does not produce a consistent enhancement in heat transfer across all surface configurations. This difference in response indicates that the effectiveness of ultrasonic actuation is influenced by the interaction between the applied frequency and the characteristics of the surface microstructure
