Sucker rod
pump (SRP)
memiliki keterbatasan berupa kepasiran, yaitu terproduksinya pasir abrasif
bersama fluida produksi.
state.
BFPD efisiensi keempat sudut relatif seragam. Pressure drop berkisar
kemiringan maupun pump displacement.
mempertimbangkan pump displacement.
Sucker rod
pump (SRP) is the most widely used artificial lift method, but it is limited by
sand production, where abrasive sand is produced with the well fluid. In Well ELG-05
at Pertamina EP Field Cepu Zone 11, this problem is handled by a Cyclone Anchor
with a 45° baffle and helix inclination angle; however, its performance at
various angles and flow rates remains unknown. This study analyzes the effect
of baffle and helix inclination angle and pump displacement on sand separation
efficiency, pressure drop, and flow characteristics inside the Cyclone Anchor.
Computational
Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations were performed in ANSYS Fluent using the
Discrete Phase Model (DPM) under steady state conditions. Angles of 40°, 45°,
50°, and 55° were combined with pump displacements of 204, 312, 416, and 504
BFPD as representations of flow conditions, with flow rates based on peak
suction velocity during upstroke.
Sand
separation efficiency ranges from 37.75% to 61.18%. At low displacement, the
highest efficiency occurs at 45° with 204 BFPD (61.18%) and at 50° with 312
BFPD (59.88%), while at 416 and 504 BFPD efficiency is relatively uniform.
Pressure drop ranges from 4811 Pa to 29083 Pa and increases with larger angles
and higher displacement. At 45° with 204 BFPD, the flow passes the baffles
steadily and swirls uniformly along the helix, whereas at 55° with 504 BFPD
vortices form at the baffles, increasing pressure drop, and non-uniform flow
along the helix reduces efficiency. Therefore, the inclination angle should be
selected based on pump displacement.
