Melon production in greenhouses is often constrained by suboptimal pollination, making fruit development highly dependent on artificial pollination. Parthenocarpic induction using plant growth regulators (PGRs) offers a potential alternative to reduce this dependency. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of cytokinin, auxin, and gibberellin combinations on parthenocarpic fruit formation in the Kirin and Sweet Hami melon cultivars and to determine the most effective PGR combination under a hydroponic fertigation system. The experiment was conducted in the greenhouse of PT Lentera Agropedia Nusantara using a split-plot design, with cultivar as the main plot and PGR combination as the subplot. The treatments consisted of artificial pollination (control), a commercial cytokinin + auxin + gibberellin formulation (10 ppm), CPPU + NAA (100 ppm), and CPPU + GA (20 ppm). Fruit set, physical quality, chemical quality, and shelf life were evaluated. The results demonstrated that PGR application successfully induced parthenocarpic fruit formation in both cultivars, although cultivar responses differed. The commercial formulation produced the highest fruit set but also resulted in a greater proportion of abnormal fruits and a shorter shelf life than the two-PGR combinations. In the Kirin cultivar, CPPU + GA? (20 ppm) was the most effective treatment, increasing fruit diameter by 13.36% and vitamin C content by 81.86%, preventing fruit cracking, and maintaining fruit quality for up to 30 days of storage. In the Sweet Hami cultivar, CPPU + NAA (100 ppm) was the most effective treatment, accelerating early fruit development by 26.46% and maintaining fruit quality for up to 29 days. These findings indicate that two-PGR combinations are cultivar-specific and have the potential to serve as alternatives to artificial pollination and commercial PGR formulations, although optimization of environmental conditions and application techniques is still required to improve fruit set.
