UMKM Terang Jaya still manages its inventory through a semi-manual process, making it prone to data inaccuracies. The system is used by two user roles with different characteristics and needs, meaning that the most suitable design method may differ for each role. Therefore, this study compares the implementation of User-Centered Design (UCD) and Activity-Centered Design (ACD) to identify the more suitable method for each user role. The design process followed the stages of each method and was refined through two iterations based on usability testing results, producing four designs that were evaluated in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction, with satisfaction measured using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The second iteration showed that all four designs achieved 100?fectiveness. For the admin role, ACD achieved higher efficiency and satisfaction scores, with an efficiency score of 3.875 and a satisfaction score of 80, compared with UCD at 1.677 and 78.75. For the employee role, UCD achieved higher scores, with an efficiency score of 2.9 and a satisfaction score of 80.91, compared with ACD at 2.138 and 77.955. All satisfaction scores were classified as acceptable. These results indicate that ACD was more suitable for admins who prioritize workflow efficiency, while UCD was more suitable for employees who prioritize comfort and ease of use.
