Background: TB cadres play a strategic role in supporting TB control in the community; therefore, building their capacity through learning modules is essential. The development of innovative, easily accessible, and needs-based learning modules is expected to enhance their competencies. Objective: To develop a learning module for TB cadres and evaluate the effectiveness of the module in improving their knowledge and behavioral intentions. Methods: The Research and Development method was used. During the module development phase, the researchers employed “design thinking for health,” which consists of the following stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The empathize and define stages were conducted with 10 TB cadres, 10 TB patients, and 10 Patient Medication Observer (PMOs) using focus group discussions (FGDs) and in-depth interviews. The ideate stage involved a brainstorming session using the NGT method with 13 TB program stakeholders. The prototype stage involved designing a digital module within the SETIA app. The test stage involved pilot testing the SETIA app prototype with 30 TB cadres. To assess the impact of the SETIA app, the researcher used a quasi-experimental pre-test/post-test design with an intervention group of 51 participants and a control group of 51 participants. Data were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney test. Results: The module development phase identified that TB cadres prefer audiovisual learning media that are simple, digital, and easily accessible. Prototype testing showed that the SETIA app was generally well-received. Effectiveness testing showed that the SETIA app significantly increased the knowledge and behavioral intentions of TB cadres compared to the control group (p < 0>Conclusion: This study resulted in an innovation in the form of a SETIA app-based learning module developed using design thinking for health.
Metode : Menggunakan metode Research and Development.
