Menuju konsep Pervasive pada rumah cerdas :: Studi kasus Pengontrol Akses Pintu

Salah satu aplikasi trend masa kini adalah sistem rumah cerdas (smart house) yang mengandung arti gabungan teknologi dan pelayanan yang dikhususkan pada lingkungan rumah dengan tujuan meningkatkan efesiensi, kenyamanan dan keamanan penghuninya, dengan dilengkapi peralatan informasi dan jaringan berbasis rumah untuk menghubungkan peralatan di dalam rumah dengan dunia di luar. Sedangkan, konsep pervasive computing mengacu pada konsep dimana komputer dapat mempengaruhi hidup, menyatu dan berinteraksi dengan lingkungannya, serta sistem dapat mengerti kebutuhan yang diperlukan dan memberikan solusi. Penelitian ini dikhususkan pada pembangunan suatu bagian rumah cerdas dengan konsep pervasive computing, yaitu membangun sebuah sistem akses kontrol pintu yang dapat mendukung keamanan rumah. Pintu yang dibangun ini mempunyai kunci akses bagi yang melewatinya, dan sistem yang didalamnya dapat mengambil tindakan jika terjadi hal-hal yang tidak aman, dimana sistem ini akan terhubung dengan pihak yang berwenang agar dapat malakukan monitoring keadaan rumah.

Pervasive computing is the trend towards increasingly ubiquitous, connected computing devices in the environment, a trend being brought about by a convergence of advanced electronic. The purpose of the Smart Home Project is to devise a set of intelligent home appliances that can provide an awareness of the users’ needs, providing them with a better home life experience without overpowering them with complex technologies and intuitive user interfaces. The goal of this research is to increase the security in the house by designed and implemented a door access control system. The door could only be opened by a person who knows the password. This system connects to the police station system so the police could monitor the house. If the system sensed some action that might be caused danger to the house, it could take an action to avoid the intruder entered the house by locked the door and send a short message to the house’s owner and the police
