Analisis kinerja ekspor mebel kayu Propinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja ekspor mebel kayu Propinsi DIY terutama dari segi keunggulan komparatif dalam menghadapi persaingan perdagangan internasional selama sepuluh tahu terakhir (1994-2003). Data yang digunakan adalah data tahunan (time series) yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi untuk mengestimasi faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap permintaan ekspor dan penawaran produk mebel kayu Propinsi DIY. Analisis trend digunakan untuk mengetahui kecenderungan ekspor mebel kayu Propinsi DIY. Analisis RCA dan RA digunakan untuk mengetahui keunggulan komparatif serta analisis ISP untuk mengetahui posisi mebel kayu Propinsi DIY di pasar internasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permintaan ekspor mebel kayu Propinsi DIY dipengaruhi oleh variabel jumlah penduduk negara tujuan, GDP per kapita negara tujuan, harga kayu dunia, nilai tukar mata uang dan nilai ekspor dunia. Penawaran ekspor mebel kayu Propinsi DIY dipengaruhi oleh harga produk mebel kayu Propinsi DIY, impor mebel kayu dunia dan nilai ekspor mebel kayu Propinsi DIY. Hasil analisis terhadap keunggulan komparatif produk diketahui bahwa pangsa pasar produk mebel kayu Propinsi DIY lebih besar daripada pangsa pasar produk serupa dari semu negara di dunia dengan indeks RCA rata-rata 1,2038 per tahun. Percepatan pertumbuhan ekspor produk mebel kayu Propinsi DIY lebih rendah daripada percepatan pertumbuhan ekspor mebel dunia dengan indeks AR sebesar 0,395. Ekspor produk mebel kayu Indonesia secara umum berada pada tahap kedewasaan (maturity) dengan nilai ISP rata-rata sebesar 0,95.

The research was aimed to find out performance of wood furniture in Yogyakarta Province specially in comparative advantage or international trade competitive at analysis year (1994-2003). Using yearly time series data, regression analysis estimating factors which influencing the wood furniture exports. Trend analysis was used to know the trend of wood furniture export. RCA and AR analysis was used to calculate the comparative advantage, while to understand the stage of product life cycle of Indonesian wood furniture in international trade was analized by ISP. The result showed that the demand of export wood furniture in Yogyakarta Province was influenced by total population for country destination variable, GDP of country destination, the world price of wood, the exchange rate of money and world wood furniture export value. Supply of wood furniture exported by Yogyakarta Province was influenced by the price, import of world wood furniture product, and export value of wood furniture exported by Yogyakarta Province. The analysis result of the comparative advantage of product showed that the relative export share of Yogyakarta wood furniture was larger than export share of world wood furniture since the average of RCA index was 1,2038 annually. AR index was 0,395, it meaned the growth acceleration of wood furniture export in Yogyakarta Province was lower than growth acceleration of world wood furniture export.
