Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become an effective approach to improving the efficiency and accuracy of the Quantity Take Off (QTO) process. Autodesk Revit and Cubicost are commonly integrated in BIM workflows, however, data exchange between the two software applications may result in quantity deviations and data loss. This study aims to analyze the deviations in the Quantity Take Off results of bore pile and pile cap structures between Autodesk Revit and Cubicost and to evaluate the level of data loss during the interoperability process.

This evaluation employed a quantitative method with a descriptive comparative approach using the C Building Construction Project of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, as the case study. The BIM models were developed in Autodesk Revit at LOD 350 for the planning stage and LOD 400 for the construction stage, then exported to Cubicost via the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) format to compare the concrete and reinforcement quantities and evaluate model interoperability.

The results indicate that the deviations in concrete volume between Autodesk Revit and Cubicost TAS ranged from 0.000067% to 0.000185%, while the deviations in reinforcement weight between Autodesk Revit and Cubicost TRB ranged from 0.3488% to 0.9322%. These findings demonstrate that both software applications produce highly consistent quantity estimation results. The interoperability evaluation shows that geometric and quantity information was successfully preserved; however, element classification and reinforcement data were not fully transferred, requiring element remapping and reinforcement remodeling. Therefore, the integration of Autodesk Revit and Cubicost is effective for the Quantity Take Off process, although workflow adjustments are still required to minimize data loss during data exchange.
