In the co-streaming ecosystem of MLBB tournaments in Indonesia, all co-streamers broadcast identical match content. Yet, audience attention distribution is highly uneven. This phenomenon raises a fundamental question: if the content is the same, what makes viewers stay loyal to one particular streamer? This study seeks to answer that question by examining three co-streamer personal characteristics hypothesized to be the differentiators: perceived expertise, virtual interaction, and entertainment. These characteristics are tested for their influence on continuance watching intention, both directly and indirectly through parasocial relationship as a mediating variable. The study involved 212 active co streaming viewers of MLBB tournaments in Indonesia and was analyzed using PLS SEM. The findings reveal that not all streamer characteristics have equal influence. One factor proves to be the most dominant in shaping viewer loyalty — a finding that may challenge the initial expectations of many practitioners in the industry. These results not only enrich theoretical understanding of viewer behavior but also offer concrete guidance for co-streamers seeking to build a loyal audience base in an increasingly homogeneous content landscape.
