Yogyakarta menggunakan metode Fuzzy Time Series (FTS) Model Lee.

Analisis

peramalan TPK.

The hotel industry plays an important role in supporting the tourism sector

and regional economic growth. One of the main indicators used to evaluate hotel

operational performance is the Room Occupancy Rate (ROR), which reflects the

utilization of available rooms over a certain period. However, ROR data are

dynamic and fluctuate due to seasonal patterns, economic conditions, tourism

activities, and differences in market segments among hotel classifications. These

characteristics make forecasting an essential approach for understanding future

occupancy trends. This study aims to compare the forecasting results of one-star to

five-star hotels in the Special Region of Yogyakarta using the Fuzzy Time Series

(FTS) Lee Model. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach

using monthly Room Occupancy Rate data of star-rated hotels from January 2022

to December 2025 published by Statistics Indonesia (BPS). The forecasting model

was evaluated using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The results

indicate that the FTS Lee Model produced good forecasting performance for all

hotel classifications, with MAPE values ranging from 14.78% to 18.43%.

Furthermore, the forecasting results show that hotels with higher star

classifications generally have higher projected occupancy rates than lower-star

hotels, reflecting differences in market segments and demand characteristics. These

findings indicate that the FTS Lee Model is applicable for forecasting hotel

occupancy rates and can provide useful information for understanding occupancy

patterns across different hotel classifications.
