This study aims to examine the effects of financial distress and company operational complexity on audit report lag, with firm size as a moderating variable, focusing on property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2021–2024 period. This study employs a quantitative method utilizing secondary data. Through purposive sampling, a sample of 18 property and real estate companies was selected over a four-year period, yielding a total of 72 observations. Data analysis was conducted using Microsoft Excel and EViews 13. The panel data were evaluated through descriptive statistics, panel data regression selection, classical assumption tests, moderated regression analysis (MRA), t-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The statistical methods applied are multiple linear regression using CEM and MRA. The results indicate that financial distress and company operational complexity does not significally effect audit report lag. Furthermore, firm size weakens the effect of financial distress on audit report lag, but strengthens the effect of company operational complexity on audit report lag.
