PARTISIPASI PETANI MITRA TERHADAP KEBERLANJUTAN CONTRACT FARMING PADI ORGANIK DI GAPOKTAN SIDOMULYO KABUPATEN SLEMAN

Contract farming merupakan sistem perjanjian kontrak dalam usahatani antara petani dengan mitra mengenai penjualan dan penyediaan input pertanian. Sebagai kelembagaan petani, Gapoktan Sidomulyo membentuk kerja sama berupa contract farming konsolidasi lahan sebagai lahan organik serta penyediaan fasilitas saprodi dan pemasaran yang diberikan kepada petani sebagai mitra secara berkelompok. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) Mengetahui partisipasi mitra Gapoktan Sidomulyo dalam budidaya padi organik dan keberlanjutan contract farming padi organik. (2) Mengetahui faktor-faktor berpengaruh langsung terhadap partisipasi mitra Gapoktan Sidomulyo dalam budidaya padi organik. (3) Mengetahui faktor-faktor berpengaruh langsung terhadap keberlanjutan contract farming padi organik. (4) Mengetahui faktor-faktor berpengaruh terhadap keberlanjutan contract farming padi organik melalui partisipasi mitra Gapoktan dalam budidaya padi organik. Metode yang digunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan 40 sampel. Lokasi penelitian di Gapoktan Sidomulyo dan wilayah kelompok tani mitra contract farming padi organik Gapoktan Sidomulyo di Kabupaten Sleman. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mitra Gapoktan Sidomulyo memiliki tingkat partisipasi tinggi dalam budidaya padi organik. Selain itu, contract farming padi organik juga pada keberlanjutan yang tinggi. Kemudian motivasi mitra mampu berpengaruh positif terhadap partisipasi mitra dan keberlanjutan contract farming padi organik, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Jaminan pasar berpengaruh positif terhadap partisipasi mitra dan keberlanjutan contract farming padi organik apabila melalui motivasi mitra. Interaksi petani berpengaruh negatif terhadap keberlanjutan contract farming padi organik, namun dapat berpengaruh positif apabila melalui motivasi mitra dan partisipasi mitra.

Contract farming is a system of contractual agreements in agriculture between farmers and partners regarding the sale and supply of agricultural inputs. As a farmers’ organization, Sidomulyo farmers group association has established a cooperative arrangement in the form of contract farming that involves the consolidation of land for organic farming, as well as the provision of agricultural inputs and marketing services to farmers as partners working in groups. The objectives of this research are: (1) To determine the participation of Sidomulyo farmers group association partners in organic rice cultivation and the sustainability of organic rice contract farming. (2) To identify the factors that directly influence the participation of Sidomulyo farmers group association partners in organic rice cultivation. (3) To identify the factors that directly influence the sustainability of organic rice contract farming. (4) To identify the factors influencing the sustainability of organic rice contract farming through the participation of Sidomulyo farmers group association partners in organic rice cultivation. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method with 40 participants. The research was conducted at the Sidomulyo Farmers’ Group Sidomulyo Association and in the farming community area in Sleman Regency, which is a contract farming partner of the Sidomulyo farmers group association for organic rice. The results show that the majority of Sidomulyo farmers group association partners have a high level of participation in organic rice cultivation. In addition, organic rice contract farming also exhibits a high level of sustainability. Furthermore, the partners’ motivation has a positive influence on their participation and the sustainability of organic rice contract farming, both directly an indirectly. Market assurances have a positive effect on partners’ participation and the sustainability of organic rice contract farming when they serve as a source of partners’ motivation. Farmer interactions have a negative effect on the sustainability of organic rice contract farming, but can have a positive effect when mediated by partners’ motivation and partners’participation.
