Analisis trajektori dilakukan melalui analisis fungsi distribusi radial, distribusi bilangan koordinasi, fungsi distribusi sudut, local density corrected three-body distribution function, muatan parsial Mulliken, waktu tinggal rata-rata ligan, dan vibrasi ulur.

A study of the structure and hydration dynamics of the Np4+ ion using MM and HF-DKH2/MM molecular dynamics simulations has been conducted. This study aims to examine the structure and hydration dynamics of the Np4+ ion and to compare the ability of the two simulation methods to represent the hydration properties of the Np4+ ion. Trajectory analysis was performed using the radial distribution function, coordination number distribution, angular distribution function, local density-corrected three-body distribution function, Mulliken partial charges, average ligand residence time, and stretching vibrations.

Molecular dynamics simulations of HF-DKH2/MM were performed using the ab initio Hartree-Fock method. The relativistic SARC-DKH-TZVP basis set was applied for Np4+ and the 6-31G* basis set for H2O. Relativistic corrections for the Np4+ ion were calculated using the DKH2 method. The system was equilibrated for 10 ps, followed by data sampling for 800 ps for the MM molecular dynamics simulation and 22 ps for the HF-DKH2/MM simulation. The results show that the Np4+ ion forms three hydration shells in both methods. The first hydration shell in the HF-DKH2/MM simulation exhibits rigid behavior with a coordination number of 9, forming a stable [Np(H2O)9]4+ complex with a gyroelongated square antiprism geometry, featuring bond angles of 70.43° and 136.57° at a distance of 2.45 Å. The first layer in the MM molecular dynamics simulation exhibits rigid behavior, resulting in a coordination number of 12 with bond angles of 63.42°, 116.35°, and 176.52° at a Np4+–O distance of 2.65 Å, and an unidentified geometry. The second and third hydration shells for both methods were unstable, as indicated by a decrease in MRT from 100.75 ps to 3.77 ps in the HF-DKH2/MM molecular dynamics simulation and from 8.57 ps to 3.24 ps in the MM molecular dynamics simulation.
