Pemeriksaan urin pada sapi peranakan simental jantan dewasa

2005 | Tesis | S2 Sain VeterinerTelah dilakukan penelitian terhadap urin pada 30 ekor sapi jenis Peranakan Simental jantan dewasa yang secara klinis sehat dan memiliki berat badan antara 250 kg hingga 300 kg. Pakan yang diberikan berupa jerami yang sudah difermentasi (10% berat badan) dan konsentrat (1% berat badan). Selain itu sapi diberikan air minum secara ad libitum. Pemeriksaan urin dilakukan 4 kali sehari (pagi sebelum makan, pagi sesudah makan, sore sebelum makan dan sore sesudah makan) selama 3 hari berturut-turut. Pemeriksaan glukosa, bilirubin, benda keton, eritrosit, pH, urobilinogen, nitrit, dilakukan dengan Multiple Reagent Strip for Urinalysis Multistix 10SG (Bayer Health Care, USA). Pemeriksaan berat jenis dilakukan dengan menggunakan Urinometer (SUIB, Germany), dan pemeriksaan pH urin digunakan pH 5-10 (Merck KgaA, 64271 Darmstad, Germany). Perbedaan rerata setiap parameter dianalisis dengan analisis varian dilanjutkan dengan Tukey Test. Hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan bahwa berat jenis urin pagi sebelum makan pagi sesudah makan sore sebelum makan sore sesudah makan masing-masing adalah 1,028 ± 0,003, 1,027 ± 0,004, 1,025 ± 0,004, dan 1,023 ± 0,002. Kandungan urobilinogen di dalam urin pada pagi sebelum makan, pagi sesudah makan, sore sebelum makan dan sore sesudah makan masing-masing secara berurutan adalah 13,15 ± 3,94, 14,00 ± 3,68, 12,43 ± 3,56, dan 11,58 ± 3,96 μmol/L. Berat jenis dan kandungan urobilinogen di dalam urin pada pagi hari pada sapi Peranakan Simental berada pada level yang hanya sedikit lebih tinggi tetapi secara statistik berbeda sangat signifikan dibanding urin pada sore hari (p<0,01). Konsumsi pakan tidak mengakibatkan perubahan urin secara signifikan (p>0,01). pH pagi sebelum makan, pagi sesudah makan, sore sebelum makan, dan sore sesudah makan beerturut-turut adalah 8,45 ± 0,18, 8,42 ± 0,25, 8,45 ± 0,18, dan 8,42 ± 0,19. Glukosa, bilirubin, eritrosit, leukosit, benda keton dan nitrit tidak ditemukam dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut di atas dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa hasil pemeriksaan fisika dan kimia urin di sepanjang siang hari pada sapi Peranakan Simental jantan dewasa menunjukkan hanya sedikit perubahan.
Study on urine analyses in adult male cattle was carried out in 30 clinically healthy, male simmental crossbred cattle. The animals were fed fermented straw (10% bodyweight) and concentrate (1% body weight) twice a day. Water was given ad libitum. Urine collection and analyses were conducted 4 times a day (morning before feeding, morning after feeding, afternoon before feeding and afternoon after feeding) for three consecutive days. Glucose, bilirubin, ketone bodies, erythrocyte, urobilinogen, and nitrite in urine were analysed by using Multiple Reagent Strip for Urinalysis Multistix 10SG (Bayer Health Care, USA). Specific gravity of urine was measured by using Urinometer (SUIB, Germany). pH of urine was determined by using the pH indicator paper (Merck , Darmstadt, Germany). The influence of sampling time on urine and the difference between the means were analyzed using variance analysis followed by Tukey Test. The urine specific gravity in the morning before feeding, the morning after feeding, the afternoon before feeding and the afternoon after feeding was 1,028 ± 0,003, 1,027 ± 0,004, 1,025 ± 0,004, and 1,023 ± 0,002, respectively. The concentration of urobilinogen in urine in the morning before feeding, the morning after feeding, the afternoon before feeding and the afternoon after feeding was 13,15 ± 3,94, 14,00 ± 3,68, 12,43 ± 3,56, dan 11,58 ± 3,96 μmol/L, respectively. Urine collected in the morning showed a slight but statistically significant higher level for specific gravity and urobilinogen concentration than that collected in the afternoon (p<0.01). The urine specific gravity and urobilinogen concentration were not significantly altered by the feed consumption (p>0,05). Urine in the morning before feeding, the morning after feeding, the afternoon before feeding and the afternoon after feeding had the pH value of 8,45 ± 0,18, 8,42 ± 0,25, 8,45 ± 0,18, and 8,42 ± 0,19, respectively. These values did not show any significant change during the day (p>0,05). Glucose, bilirubin, erythrocyte, leukocyte, ketone bodies and nitrite were not detected in the urine. It could be concluded that the findings of physical and biochemical examinations of urine conducted during the day in adult male simmental crossbred cattle show only a slight variation.
