Hubungan antara harga diri dan aktualisasi diri dengan partisipasi mahasiswa dalam gerakan sosial

Studi ini dirancang untuk meneliti korelasi antara harga diri dan aktualisasi diri dengan partisipasi mahasiswa dalam gerakan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan quota purpossive sampling. Subjek penelitian sejumlah 100 mahasiswa, yang terdiri atas 50 mahasiswa UGM, dan 50 mahasiswa UIN SUKA yang terlibat aktif berpartisipasi dalam gerakan sosial. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis regresi umum yang diolah dengan menggunakan SPS Program Analisis Regresi, Edisi Sutrisno Hadi dan Yuni Pamardiningsih Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Terdapat hubungan positif antara harga diri dengan partisipasi mahasiswa dalam gerakan sosial, ditunjukkan dengan rxy = 0.380, p < 0.001 (sangat signifikan). 2) Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara aktualisasi dengan partisipasi mahasiswa dalam gerakan sosial, ditunjukkan dengan rxy = 0.099, p = 0.670. 3) Terdapat hubungan yang positif antara harga diri dan aktualisasi diri dengan partisipasi mahasiswa dalam gerakan sosial dengan R = 0.394, p < 0.001 (sangat signifikan). Harga diri dan aktualisasi diri merupakan salah satu variabel yang dapat mempengaruhi partisipasi mahasiswa dalam gerakan sosial. Semakin tinggi harga diri dan aktualisasi diri mahasiswa, maka akan semakin intensif partisipasi mahasiswa dalam gerakan sosial.

This research was designed to study the correlation between self esteem and actualization to students participation in social movements. The research employs quota purposive sampling. The subject of research is 100 students, wich 50 studenst of Gadjah Mada University and 50 students of Sunan Kalijaga Islamic University who is active at participation in social movements . Data analysis is done by multiple regression. The result of the research shows: 1) There is positive correlation between self esteem on the students participation, rxy = 0.380, p = 0.000 (very significant). 2) There is a negative correlation between self actualization on the students participation, rxy = 0.099 p = 0.670 (not significant). 3) There is a positive correlation between self esteem and self actualization with students participation in social movements, indicated by R = 0.394, p = 0.001 (very significant). Self esteem and self actualization is one important variabel which can influence the students participation on the social movements. Self esteem and actualization which more high, will be effective the students participation in social movements.
