An automatic water filling process requires high accuracy to ensure that the amount of water dispensed matches the desired target. Systems that operate with a constant pump speed often produce overshoot and filling errors because they cannot adjust the flow rate as the measured weight approaches the target value. This Final Project aims to design and develop a weight-based automatic water filling system using a load cell sensor and a Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Logic controller to adaptively regulate the pump speed. The system employs an Arduino Nano as the main controller, a load cell sensor and HX711 module for weight measurement, a BTS7960 driver for DC pump PWM control, a solenoid valve for flow regulation, and a Nextion HMI for user interaction and real-time monitoring. Performance evaluation was conducted on both a system without Fuzzy Logic control and a system with Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Logic control based on parameters including final weight, error, percentage error, accuracy, overshoot, rise time, settling time, and filling duration.

The experimental results show that the system without control produced an average error of 23.2 g, a percentage error of 5.5%, and an accuracy of 94.5%. After implementing the Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Logic controller, the average error decreased to 1.2 g, the percentage error decreased to 0.2%, and the accuracy increased to 99.8%. In addition, the overshoot was reduced from 5.5% to 0.2%, and the settling time was successfully achieved for all testing targets. These results demonstrate that the Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Logic method effectively improves the accuracy and stability of the automatic water filling system.
