Bekasi, as a rapidly urbanizing part of the Jabodetabek area, continuously faces the dual challenges of vertical  deformation (subsidence and uplift) and extreme annual flooding.  Studies related to vertical deformation and flooding have been widely conducted. However, these two phenomena are generally investigated separately and remain poorly integrated, resulting in limited understanding of their interaction patterns. Therefore, this study aims to calculate vertical deformation parameters (vertical velocity and cumulative displacement), identify flood inundation during March 2025, and evaluate the correlation between vertical deformation parameters and flood inundation depth in Bekasi.

Deformation values were obtained by processing Sentinel-1 satellite imagery from 2020 to 2025 using the LiCSBAS  based Small Baseline Subset Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (SBAS-InSAR) method to generate displacement time series and velocity in the Line of Sight (LOS) direction. The results were validated using observations from GNSS Continously Operating Reference Stations (CORS), specifically CBTU, CTGR, and CJKT, at a 95% confidence level using a two tailed paired t-test. Land surface elevation data were derived from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) Digital Elevation Model (DEM) to support the analysis of regional topographic characteristics. In addition, flood inundation data were obtained from two different sources, Field surveys at 171 flood locations conducted by the Applied Meteorology Laboratory of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in collaboration with PT. Reasuransi MAIPARK Indonesia along the Kali Bekasi (first area), as well as village-based flood survey data from the Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) of Bekasi City (second area) and Bekasi Regency (thrid area).

The results indicate variations in vertical deformation across the three analyzed areas. The highest subsidence rate was identified in the Cikarang region, Bekasi Regency (third area), with a vertical velocity of –45,86 mm/year. Meanwhile, the highest uplift was identified in Bekasi Regency (third area) with a vertical velocity value of 4,66 mm/year. The highest flood inundation depth was identified in Jatirasa Village, Bekasi City, reaching 3,50 meters. Based on the Spearman correlation test, Bekasi City (first and second areas) showed negative correlation coefficients ranging from -0,620 to -0,692, while Bekasi Regency (third area) showed negative correlation coefficients ranging from -0,361 to -0,447. Overall, all statistical test across the three areas demonstrated significance values (p-value < 0>
