Gambaran Perawatan Endodontik Gigi Desidui Mahasiswa Kepaniteraan di RSGM UGM Prof Soedomo (Kajian pada Rekam Medis Elektronik periode 1 Agustus 2024-1 Agustus 2025

Perawatan endodontik gigi desidui penting untuk mempertahankan gigi karies yang sudah melibatkan pulpa agar tetap bebas infeksi sampai waktunya tanggal secara fisiologis, sehingga gigi dapat berfungsi dengan baik. Perawatan endodontik dianggap sebagai salah satu perawatan sulit bagi mahasiswa kepaniteraan, karena sering mengalami kegagalan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran perawatan endodontik gigi desidui oleh mahasiswa kepaniteraan di klinik Kedokteran Gigi Anak RSGM UGM Prof. Soedomo dengan mengkaji rekam medis elektronik periode 1 Agustus 2024 hingga 1 Agustus 2025.

Penelitian survei deskriptif dengan objek penelitian rekam medis elektronik pasien anak yang mendapat perawatan endodontik gigi desidui oleh mahasiswa kepaniteraan. Data profil usia dan jenis kelamin pasien yang mendapat perawatan endodontik, diagnosis dan jumlah kasusnya, serta keterangan kelengkapan perawatan dianalisis secara univariat dengan program SPSS.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan di antara kasus gigi karies yang melibatkan pulpa, nekrosis pulpa merupakan kasus tertinggi. Profil pasien yang dirawat endodontik sebagian besar perempuan dengan usia 6 tahun. Jenis gigi paling banyak dirawat adalah gigi molar kedua desidui. Perawatan endodontik mahasiswa kepaniteraan dinilai kurang lengkap dalam hal kelengkapan prosedur perawatan dan kelengkapan dokumentasi pasca obturasi, serta angka laporan keluhan pasca perawatan rendah.

Endodontic treatment of primary teeth is important preserve teeth with caries involving the pulp, maintaining teeth from infection until it physiologically exfoliates, so that the teeth can continue to function properly. Endodontic treatment is considered as one of the most challenging procedures for clinical students, due to the frequent failure. This study is to describe the endodontic treatment of primary teeth performed by clinical students at RSGM UGM Prof. Soedomo by analyzing the electronic medical record within 1st August 2024 until 1st August 2025.

This descriptive survey analyzed electronic medical records of pediatric patients who received an endodontic treatment by clinical student. Patient profile (age and gender) data, diagnosis and case numbers, along with the completeness rate of treatment were analyzed univariately using SPSS software.

The results showed that among dental caries cases involving the pulp, pulp necrosis was the most common case. Most of the pediatric patients who underwent endodontic treatment were female, aged 6 years. Most frequently treated tooth type was the primary second molar. Endodontic treatment performed by the clinical student was lacking in terms of procedural completeness and post-obturation documentation uploaded, with a low rate of post-treatment complaints.
