Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pertamina DOH Cirebon-Balongan yang berada di desa Sukaraja dan Majakerta kecamatan Balongan kabupaten Indramayu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) mempelajari dan menganalisa kualitas limbah air terproduksi setelah melewati oil catcher, 2) mempelajari dampak dari limbah air terproduksi terhadap biota perairan terutama plankton di pantai Balongan, 3) mempelajari pengaruh negatif limbah air terproduksi terhadap tambak yang berada disekitar kanal pembuangan limbah. Pengukuran kualitas limbah air terproduksi dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah melewati oil catcher. Pengambilan sampel plankton di pantai Balongan berdasarkan arah arus serta pengukuran debit limbah air terproduksi di outlet pembuangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas limbah air terproduksi sebelum dan sesudah melewati oil catcher memenuhi syarat baku mutu limbah cair bagi kegiatan industri di Jawa barat golongan I berdasarkan Kep- 06/Gub.Jawa Barat/1999, kecuali Arsen (As) 0,4 mg/liter, Timbal (Pb) 0.2 mg/liter, Amonia 4.6 mg/liter dan Phenol 0.8 mg/liter. Indeks diversitas di muara sebesar 0,48 termasuk tingkat tercemar berat, indeks diversitas di pantai Balongan sebelah kanan berjarak 2000 m dari sumber pencemar mengalami pengenceran (purifikasi) sebesar 1,6 termasuk tingkat tercemar ringan. Sedangkan indeks diversitas di pantai Balongan sebelah kiri berjarak 250 m dari sumber pencemar sebesar 1,337 termasuk tingkat tercemar sedang. Pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa limbah air terproduksi yang melewati alat penangkap minyak (oil catcher) dapat menurunkan konsentrasi limbah. Pembuangan limbah air terproduksi dapat menurunkan indeks diversifikasi plankton. Limbah air terproduksi yang dibuang di kanal akan menurunkan produktifitas tambak di sekitar Pertamina Balongan.

This thesis took place at Pertamina DOH Cirebon-Balongan, Sukareja and Majakerta village in Balongan Regency-Indramayu Province. The research’s aims are; 1) Studying and analyzing the produced wastewater quality which passing through the oil catcher, 2) Studying the impact of the produced wastewater to water biota, especially plankton at Balongan beach, 3) Studying the impact negative of the produced wastewater to the fishponds surround the wastewater channel outlet area. Produced wastewater quality measurement carried out before and after passing through the oil catcher. Also being carried out produced wastewater discharge measurement at its channel outlet, and plankton sampling at Balongan beach. This research using the basic standard wastewater quality class I of industrial activity at West Java Province, based on Governor regulation: Kep- 06/Gub.Jawa Barat.1999, resulting that produced wastewater quality before and after passing through the oil catcher is conform with the standardization except forArsenic (As) 0,4 mg/liter, Timbale (Pb) 0.2 mg/liter, Ammonia 4.6 mg/liter, and fenol 0.8 mg/liter. The diversity index at the estuary is 0.48 include in heavy polluted stage. The diversity index at the right of Balongan beach, 2000 m away from the pollution source has been being purified 1.6, include in light polluted stage. Beside that, the diversity index at the left of Balongan beach, 250 m away from the pollution source polluted, is 1.337 include in medium polluted stage. The produced wastewater at the wasting canal was also used to irrigate the fishponds. The conclusion of this research is that produced wastewater passing the oil catcher can reduce the wastewater concentration. Parameters oil treatment of wastewater will influence the plankton life at the wasting canal and at the Balongan beach environment, which has been become the produced wastewater wasting area.Productivity of fishfond on surround Pertamina Balongan reduce because it influence oil of wastewater.
