2005 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu KehutananPenelitian ini mengenai studi pengelolaan hutan kayuputih berbasis ekosistem telah dilakukan di BDH Karangmojo, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya produktivitas daun kayuputih beserta aspek-aspek ekosistemnya dan kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat sekitar hutan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara menentukan umur tanaman yaitu 10, 20, dan 30 tahun. Pada umur tanaman tersebut dibuat petak ukur seluas 0,02 ha. dengan IS 2%, letak petak ukur dengan sistematic random sampling. Setiap petak ukur diperoleh data produktivitas daun, kerapatan tanaman, luas penutupan tajuk, tinggi dan diameter tanaman kayuputih, teknik konservasi, pemupukan, dan pengolahan tanahnya. Analisis data dengan menggunakan persamaan regresi dengan produktivitas daun sebagai faktor terikatnya. Sedangkan terhadap responden (petani) digunakan sebagai gambaran adanya interaksi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan hutan kayuputih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan besar produktivitas daun kayuputih 2,790 – 4,450 ton/ha/th, kerapatan tegakan (dkn) 0,47 – 0,69, luas penutupan tajuk 20 – 42,50%, tinggi tanaman 44 – 110 cm, dan diameter tanaman 7 – 8 cm. Secara bersama-sama luas penutupan tajuk dan kerapatan tegakan berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas daun. Ada interaksi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan hutan kayuputih.
This research aims to find out the productivity of kayu putih leaves, the aspects of kayu putih forest ecosystem, the management pattern, and the interaction of the local society towards the management of kayu putih forest. This research was conducted by determining the age of the plants, they are 10, 20, and 30 years old. At those ages, 0.02 hectare plots with 2% sampling intensity were made, the position of the plots were determined using systematic random sampling. From every plot data about leaf productivity, plants density, the width of peak closing, the height and the diameter of kayu putih plants, the conservation techniques fertilizing, and soil preparation were gathered. The data analysis was conducted using regression equation with leaf productivity as the dependent variable. The farmers were involved in this research to describe the interaction of the society towards kayu putih forest management. The results of the study showed that the productivity of kayu putih leaf were 2.790 – 4.450 ton/hectare/year, the density of kayu putih stand (dkn) were 0.47 – 0.69, the width of peak closing were 20 – 47.50%, the height of the plants were 44 – 110 centimeters, and the diameter of the plants were 7 – 8 centimeters. The age of the plants, the width of peak closing, the number of stand, and the density of the stand simultaneously gave a positive influence towards the leaf productivity with an F value 26.055. The aspects of the ecosystem were the presence of terrace making, various plants that grow in the same period of time, fertilizing, soil preparation. The pattern of forest management (leaf harvesting) was using adz to cut every leaf in a specific location. The presence of society interaction towards kayu putih forest management was found.
