Hubungan antara pemilihan tema tayangan televisi sumber dukungan sosial dengan konsep diri anak usia Sekolah Dasar

2005 | Tesis | S2 Psikologi PerkembanganPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemilihan tema tayangan televisi baik acara harian maupun acara mingguan dengan konsep diri anak usia sekolah dasar, hubungan antara sumber dukungan sosial dengan konsep diri anak usia sekolah dasar dan mengetahui perbedaan konsep diri anak usia sekolah dasar antara anak laki-laki dan anak perempuan. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi sekolah dasar kelas V dan VI di SDN Jetis III Lamongan, SDN Made IV Lamongan, dan SDN Sidoharjo II Lamongan, berusia antara 10–12 tahun, berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan perempuan, serta memiliki pesawat televisi di rumahnya yang berjumlah 115 siswa. Adapun instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket pemilihan tema tayangan televisi yang dibagi menjadi acara harian dan acara mingguan, angket sumber dukungan sosial dan skala konsep diri. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Chi- Square dengan menggunakan bantuan program SPSS Release 11.5 for Windows. Hasil analisis chi-square menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara pemilihan tema tayangan televisi acara harian dengan konsep diri anak usia sekolah dasar (X2 = 15.875; p = 0.000), ada hubungan antara pemilihan tema tayangan televisi acara mingguan dengan konsep diri anak usia sekolah dasar (X2 = 640.083; p = 0.000), ada hubungan antara sumber dukungan sosial dengan konsep diri anak usia sekolah dasar (X2 = 235.539; p = 0.000), dan ada perbedaan konsep diri anak usia sekolah dasar antara anak laki-laki dan anak perempuan (X2 = 17.790; p = 0.000). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima.
This research was conducted to investigate the relationship between the choosing of television program theme of a day with primary school age children's self concept, the relationship between the choosing of television program theme of a week with primary school age children's self concept, the relationship between the source of social support with primary school age children's self concept, and the differences primary school age children's self concept between boys and girls. The subjects of this research were 115 children's in primary school age at level 5 and 6 from SDN Jetis III, SDN Made IV, and SDN Sidoharjo II Lamongan, 10 to 12 years old, boys and girls, and have television in their home. The data were collected by using the choosing of television program theme scales, source of social support scales, and self concept scales. The data analysis that used is chi-square analysis. Based on analysis, found that there were correlation between the choosing of television program theme of a day with primary school age children's self concept (X2 = 15.875; p = 0.000), there were correlation between the choosing of television program theme of a week with primary school age children's self concept (X2 = 640.083; p = 0.000), there were correlation between the source of social support with primary school age children's self concept (X2 = 235.539; p = 0.000), and there were differences primary school age children's self concept between boys and girls (X2 = 17.790; p = 0.000).
