Pulau Lombok
Arc Thrust. Kejadian gempa bumi pada tahun 2018, tepatnya tanggal 5 Agustus
2018, berkekuatan 7,0 Mw diakibatkan oleh rangkaian aktivitas subduksi Flores
Back Arc Thrust.
posisi GNSS.
Penelitian ini
menggunakan lima data pengamatan GNSS CORS selama rangkaian gempa bumi Lombok
tahun 2018, yaitu sebanyak 21 doy, tepatnya pada tanggal 26 Juli s.d. 15
Agustus 2018. CORS yang digunakan yaitu CDNP, CPBI, CSRJ, CNYU, dan CBRN.
Pengolahan data terdiri atas pengolahan DHGT, perhitungan nilai ZTD, serta
perhitungan nilai TEC. Pengolahan metode Precise Point Positioning (PPP)
Perubahan koordinat
vertikal terbesar terjadi pada stasiun CDNP, yaitu 1,97 mm doy 209,
namun diindikasikan adanya pengaruh luar seperti obstruksi daerah pengamatan. Peningkatan
Lombok Island is one of the regions with a high earthquake hazard, as it lies between the Indo-Australian subduction zone and the Flores Back Arc Thrust. The earthquake that occurred on August 5, 2018, with a magnitude of 7.0 Mw, was associated with a series of activities along the Flores Back Arc Thrust. Large earthquakes are known not only to cause surface deformation but also to potentially affect atmospheric conditions, particularly in the troposphere and ionosphere. GNSS signal propagation through these atmospheric layers is delayed by Zenith Tropospheric Delay (ZTD) and Total Electron Content (TEC), which, in turn, affect GNSS positioning accuracy. Therefore, this study aims to analyze changes in ZTD and TEC that affect GNSS positioning following the 2018 Lombok earthquake.
This study used GNSS CORS observation data from five stations during the Lombok earthquake sequence in 2018, spanning 21 days of the year doy from July 26 to August 15, 2018. The stations used were CDNP, CPBI, CSRJ, CNYU, and CBRN. The data processing included DHGT processing, ZTD estimation, and TEC calculation. The DHGT and ZTD values were obtained using the Precise Point Positioning (PPP) method through the CSRS service. At the same time, TEC variations were computed using GNSSSpectrum software. The study visualized the result to observe temporal variations in the three variables. Furthermore, the Pearson correlation test was applied to evaluate the strength of the relationships among these variables.
The results indicate changes in atmospheric conditions characterized by instability in ZTD values across all observation stations. Several stations showed increases in TEC and ZTD before the earthquake, followed by significant fluctuations in both parameters at some stations. The largest vertical coordinate change was observed at station CDNP, reaching 1.97 mm on doy 209; however, this variation is likely influenced by external factors, such as observational obstructions. The largest increase in ZTD was 20 mm at stations CNYU, CBRN, and CSRJ on doy 217, and at station CPBI on doy 221, under relatively stable temperature and pressure conditions. Meanwhile, the largest TEC increase reached 1 TECU at station CBRN on doy 221. This increase has been validated using the Dst and Kp indices, which indicate stable atmospheric conditions without geomagnetic storm activity. The correlation analysis shows that ZTD is positively correlated with DHGT, with a moderately strong relationship at several stations, including CBRN, CNYU, CSRJ, and CPBI. In contrast, the correlation between ZTD and TEC is weak across all stations. Furthermore, the correlation between TEC and DHGT is only moderately strong at the CDNP station. At the same time, it remains weak at the other stations
