This study aims to examine the effects of board busyness, proxied by the multiple directorships held by board members, and board gender diversity on the implementation of corporate green innovation. The study focuses on manufacturing firms operating in Indonesia as the research sample. To test the direct relationships among the variables, multiple linear regression analysis is employed. The empirical findings show that board busyness has a negative effect on the green innovation index and green building practices, but a positive effect on green process innovation. Meanwhile, board gender diversity has a positive but statistically insignificant effect on the green innovation index, green process innovation, and green building practices. This study offers two main contributions. First, it extends the measurement of green innovation by incorporating both the green innovation index and green building practices as its dimensions. Second, it uses ISO 14001 indicators to capture the presence of green process innovation. These contributions are expected to enrich the existing literature and provide a more comprehensive perspective for future research on green innovation in the Indonesian context.
