2026 | Skripsi | S1 KEHUTANANConstructing a forest road which is not appropriate with the standards, will have an impact in the cost of transporting. A low standard road be easily to get destroyed causing the transportation’s time target to show the log per trip will be longer. Thus, this condition must be avoided to decrease the expense. This research was done in the natural forest administrator area PT. Narkata Rimba, East Kalimantan, with aim to identify the qualities of the road towards the existing standards which is TPTI system in year 1993, with the object of measurement is the main road with the length of 2000 m and the second road with the length of 3000 m. The parameters that were observed are the solid depth, the road’s width, the width and the radius of the turn, and the slope of the way. The methods that were used in this research are measurement analysis and field calculations. The result of the analysis showed of the road that in PT. Narkata Rimba the average width of the main road is 12.75 m and the second road is 9.25 m, the average radius of the main road’s turn is 47 m and the second is 62 m, the average width of the main road’s turn is 15.85 m and the second one is 9.26 m, the average slope of the main road is 10.5 % and the decline is 16.5 % for the second road has a slope of 14 % and a decline of 26 %. The hardening of the road was not done, so that the date about the solid depth can not be gain. The road quality of PT Narkata Rimba East Kalimantan alneady fulfilled the standard requirements according to the TPTI system in 1993.
