Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perilaku pencarian informasi yang dilakukan oleh jabatan fungsional pengawas koperasi di Dinas Koperasi dan UKM DIY dengan menggunakan model Leckie (1996). Digunakannya model pencarian informasi Leckie (1996) karena model tersebut ditujukan untuk para profesional yang mana penyebab adanya kebutuhan informasi karena adanya peran dan tugas kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi non partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan studi literatur. Adapun untuk teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini memaparkan bahwa jabatan fungsional pengawas koperasi di Diskop UKM DIY memiliki peran sebagai penyedia layanan dan administrator. Tugas utama yang dilakukan oleh pengawas koperasi yaitu melaksanakan kegiatan pengawasan dan pemeriksaan kesehatan koperasi. Adapun kebutuhan informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh pengawas koperasi dalam tugas tersebut yaitu data koperasi berupa data kelembagaan dan keuangan koperasi. Sumber-sumber informasi yang utama dan paling sering digunakan adalah laporan RAT dan Kertas Kerja Pemeriksaan Kesehatan Koperasi (KKPK). Alasan pemilihan sumber informasi tersebut karena didasari oleh familiaritas dan keberhasilan sebelumnya, biaya, serta aksesbilitas. Hasil pencarian informasi menunjukkan hasil optimal. Pengawas koperasi cenderung menggunakan sumber informasi formal dalam memenuhi peran dan tugasnya. Perilaku pencarian informasi oleh jabatan fungsional pengawas koperasi di Dinas Koperasi dan UKM DIY dengan model Leckie (1996), dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat faktor atau komponen yang mempengaruhi yaitu peran dan tugas-tugas yang mengiringi, karakteristik kebutuhan informasi, kesadaran akan informasi, sumber-sumber informasi, dan terakhir hasil pencarian informasi. Saran yang direkomendasikan dalam penelitan ini yaitu penambahan tenaga profesional pengawas koperasi dan pengelola arsip di bidang koperasi agar pencarian informasi terutama yang bersumber dari arsip dapat dilakukan dengan lebih efektif dan efisien.

This study aims to analyse the information seeking behaviour of functional supervisors of cooperatives at the DIY Cooperative and SME Office using Leckie's (1996) model. Leckie's (1996) information seeking model was used because it is intended for professionals whose need for information arises from their roles and work tasks. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used in this study are non-participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and literature study. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that the functional position of cooperative supervisors at Diskop UKM DIY has the role of service provider and administrator. The main task carried out by cooperative supervisors is to carry out supervision and health checks on cooperatives. The information needed by cooperative supervisors in carrying out this task is cooperative data in the form of institutional and financial data. The main and most frequently used sources of information are RAT reports and Cooperative Health Examination Working Papers (KKPK). The reasons for choosing these sources of information are based on familiarity and previous success, cost, and accessibility. The results of the information search show optimal results. Cooperative supervisors tend to use formal sources of information in fulfilling their roles and duties. The information seeking behaviour of functional positions of cooperative supervisors at the DIY Cooperative and SME Office using the Leckie (1996) model shows that there are influencing factors or components, namely accompanying roles and duties, information needs characteristics, information awareness, information sources, and finally, information search results. The recommendation in this study is to increase the number of professional cooperative supervisors and records managers in the cooperative sector so that information searches, especially those sourced from records, can be carried out more effectively and efficiently.
