Latar belakang: Sebagian besar penyakit di Indonesia merupakan penyakit yang melibatkan proses inflamasi, misalnya pada penyakit infeksi atau menular. Prevalensi penyakit menular yang banyak terjadi meliputi diare, ISPA, Pneumonia, dan TBC Paru. C-Reactive Protein (CRP) merupakan salah satu marker untuk mengetahui status inflamasi, infeksi, serta kerusakan jaringan. CRP memiliki sensitivitas yang cukup tinggi sehingga lazim digunakan untuk kepentingan klinis. Namun, pemeriksaan CRP memiliki beberapa kekurangan seperti membutuhkan spesimen serum, tingginya biaya, serta terbatasnya aksesibilitas alat. Pemeriksaan darah lengkap merupakan salah satu pemeriksaan dasar yang umum dilakukan pada pemeriksaan kesehatan dan berfungsi untuk menilai komponen darah serta mengetahui indeks hematologi seperti rasio neutrofil-limfosit (NLR), rasio monosit-limfosit (MLR), dan rasio platelet-limfosit (PLR). Indeks hematologi ini dapat menilai risiko inflamasi kronis serta menjadi marker diagnostik dan prognostik pada berbagai penyakit, misalnya kanker, penyakit paru obstruktif kronis, autoimun serta penyakit kardiovaskular. NLR, MLR, dan PLR sebagai marker inflamasi banyak dikaji karena nilainya dapat dihitung dari hasil pemeriksaan darah rutin yang mudah diakses, cepat, dan terjangkau. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan rasio neutrofil limfosit (NLR), rasio monosit-limfosit (MLR), dan rasio platelet-limfosit (PLR) dengan C-Reactive Protein CRP pada populasi dewasa sehat. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional retrospective serta menggunakan data sekunder. Subjek viii yang terlibat yakni populasi sehat pada calon peserta Program Pendidikan Dokter Spesialis (PPDS) dan co-assistant (koas) yang menjalani pemeriksaan kesehatan di Departemen Patologi Klinik dan Kedokteran Laboratorium FK-KMK UGM pada periode bulan April—Mei 2023. Kriteria inklusi pada penelitian ini yakni sehat, meliputi sejahtera fisik, mental, dan sosial yang utuh (WHO, 2020). Data diambil berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan spesimen darah lengkap. Background: Most diseases in Indonesia involve inflammatory processes, particularly infectious and communicable diseases. Common infectious diseases include diarrhea, acute respiratory tract infections, pneumonia, and pulmonary tuberculosis. C-reactive protein (CRP) is a widely used biomarker to assess inflammatory status, infection, and tissue damage due to its high sensitivity. However, CRP testing has several limitations, including the need for serum specimens, relatively high costs, and limited accessibility of laboratory equipment. Complete blood count (CBC) is a basic and commonly performed laboratory examination that evaluates blood components and provides hematological indices such as the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR). These hematological indices reflect the risk of chronic inflammation and serve as diagnostic and prognostic markers in various diseases, including cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, autoimmune disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. NLR, MLR, and PLR have been extensively studied as inflammatory markers because they can be easily calculated from routine blood tests that are accessible, rapid, and cost-effective.

Objective: This study aimed to determine the association between the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) with C-reactive protein (CRP) levels in a healthy adult population.

Methods: This was an observational analytic study with a retrospective cross-sectional design using secondary data. The study subjects consisted of healthy individuals among candidates for the Specialist Medical Education Program (PPDS) and medical clerkship students (co-assistants) who underwent health examinations at the Department of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FK-KMK), Universitas Gadjah Mada, during April–May 2023. Inclusion criteria were healthy individuals, defined as complete physical, mental, and social well-being according to the World Health Organization (WHO, 2020). Data were obtained from complete blood count results. Data normality was assessed using the Shapiro–Wilk test for sample sizes <50 data-start="2583" data-end="2633" xss=removed>Pearson’s correlation test for parametric data and Spearman’s correlation test for non-parametric data.
