Kinerja Induk Domba Dorper Cross Garut Yang Disilang Balik Dengan Pejantan Dorper

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja induk domba Dorper cross Garut yang disilang balik dengan pejantan Dorper. Materi yang digunakan meliputi 42 ekor domba dengan rincian 20 ekor induk Dorper cross Garut, 20 ekor induk Garut, dan 2 ekor pejantan Dorper. Masing-masing kelompok induk Dorper cross Garut dan Garut dipelihara secara intensif bersama dengan 1 ekor pejantan di dalam kandang koloni selama dua bulan. Setelah melahirkan, cempe dipelihara bersama induk hingga disapih di usia tiga bulan. Data yang diambil meliputi jumlah anak sekelahiran, bobot lahir, bobot sapih, mortalitas pra sapih, interval kelahiran, indeks reproduksi induk, dan indeks produktivitas induk. Data yang didapatkan lalu dianalisis menggunakan Independent Sample T-test. Data jumlah anak sekelahiran, bobot lahir, bobot sapih, mortalitas pra sapih, interval kelahiran, indeks reproduksi induk, dan indeks produktivitas induk domba Dorper cross Garut secara berturut-turut masing-masing adalah 1,35±0,49 ekor, 3,29±1,09 kg, 20,38±4,23 kg, 2,50±11,18 ekor, 202,20±15,85 hari, 2,24±0,71 ekor/tahun, 49,10±16,09 kg/tahun. Bobot lahir dan sapih cempe induk domba Dorper cross Garut lebih tinggi (P<0>cross Garut lebih rendah (P<0>cross Garut dan Garut berbeda tidak nyata. Disimpulkan bahwa kinerja induk domba Dorper cross Garut yang disilang balik dengan pejantan Dorper memiliki keunggulan dalam menghasilkan anakan dengan bobot sapih yang tinggi. Namun, jumlah anak sekelahirannya lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan induk domba Garut.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the reproductive performance of Dorper cross Garut ewes which was backcrossed with Dorper rams. The study used a total of 42 sheeps, consisting of 20 heads of Dorper cross Garut ewes, 20 heads of Garut ewes, and 2 heads of Dorper rams. Twenty ewes, both Dorper cross Garut and Garut, were raised intensively with one Dorper ram in a colony pen for two months. After birth, lambs remained with their dams until they were weaned at three months of age. The data collected on the ewe reproductive performance included litter size, birth weight, weaning weight, pre-weaning mortality, lambing interval, ewe reproductive index, and ewe productivity index. The obtained data were analyzed using an Independent Sample T-test.
