Analisis spasial penyerapan tenaga kerja subsektor hotel di Provinsi Bali, 1999-2003

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui di mana konsentrasi penyerapan tenaga kerja subsektor hotel, mengapa konsentrasi tersebut dapat terjadi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menentukan penyerapan tenaga kerja subsektor hotel di Provinsi Bali. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari BPS dan Bappeda Provinsi Bali dengan periode pengamatan 1999-2003. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitiaan ini adalah sistem informasi geografi (SIG), indeks spesialisasi dan analisis regresi dengan data panel. Analisis sistem informasi geografi (SIG) untuk mengetahui di daerah mana terdapat konsentrasi penyerapan tenaga kerja subsektor hotel, indeks spesialisasi untuk mengetahui mengapa konsentrasi penyerapan tenaga kerja subsektor hotel dapat terjadi dan analisis regresi untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menentukan penyerapan tenaga kerja subsektor. Hasil analisis menemukan bahwa lokasi utama penyerapan tenaga kerja subsektor hotel di Bali terkonsentrasi secara geografis di daerah tertentu. Daerah yang mempunyai konsentrasi penyerapan tenaga kerja subsektor hotel adalah Kabupaten Badung. Terkonsentrasinya tenaga kerja subsektor hotel di Kabupaten Badung disebabkan karena Kabupaten Badung memiliki spesialisasi pada bidang subsektor hotel yang terlihat dari besarnya nilai indeks spesialisasi yang dimiliki selalu melebihi 1 dan mencapai rata-rata 6,06. Analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa dengan 5 variabel yaitu: indeks spesialisasi, investasi, jumlah hotel, output subsektor hotel, dan upah mampu menjelaskan penyerapan tenaga kerja subsektor hotel sebesar 99,99%. Berdasarkan kelima variabel tersebut, diketahui indeks spesialisasi, investasi dan output subsektor hotel berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap panyerapan tenaga kerja subsektor hotel, sedangkan variabel jumlah hotel dan upah berpangaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja subsektor hotel di Bali.

The objectives of the research are to find out where there is the labor absorbed concentration of hotel sub sector and why the concentration can take place and to analysis factors determining the labor absorption of hotel sub sector in Bali. The data using is the secondary one from BPS and Bappeda of Bali Province in the period of 1999-2003. The analysis method using in this research is the Geographical Information System (GIS) analysis which is used to find out where there are the labor absorbed concentration of hotel sub sectors, the specialization index which is used to find out why the concentration can take place, and the regression analysis which is used to analyze factors determining sub sectors labor absorption. The analysis result found that the main place of the hotel sub sector labor absorption in Bali is concentrated geographically in Badung Regency. It cause that Badung Regency has a hotel sub sector specialization. It could see from the specialization index value that is more than 1 and its mean 6,06. The regression analysis shows that the 5 variables such as the specialization index, the investment, hotel numbers, hotel sub sectors output, and the wages are able to explain that the hotel sub sectors labor absorption is 99,99%. Based on the 5 variables, it is known that the specialization index, hotel sub sector output, and the investment influence positively and significantly toward hotel sub sector labor absorption. While the variable of hotel numbers and wages influences negatively and significantly toward its in Bali.
